Yes, I got him good!
I rejoiced, Jayden was trapped in my words.
"Okay," He said, recovering quickly. "I'll assist you."
I smiled, and got back to daydreaming.
I still couldn't wait a week to learn from him!
A weird embarrassing vibe took over me, but I felt happy.
Well, I guess this is what they call lov-
"Ayako!"
"H-Huh!? Riko?" I said, startled.
"What happened?" Riko asked.
"What do you mean what happened? You were the one who yelled my name." I said, confused.
"Oof, I said that because," She said, pointing at me, "Look at your face."
Huh?
"W-what's wrong with my face?"
"Ayako. . ." She did a facepalm, "You stupid, you're blushing!"
"What!?" I exclaimed, almost too loudly.
"Come on, what were you daydreaming about this time?"
"Eh, you don't need to worry about that, Riko. It's my mind, I can think whatever I want."
She glared at me, suspiciously.
"Let it go, Riko."
"Okay. . ." She exhaled heavily before leaving.
That was a close one.
"Gotcha!" I heard a voice. It was Riko. Guess she didn't leave, she was just waiting for me to reveal my true intentions.
"You got me good," I said, nodding at her, "But you still don't know what I was thinking about, do you?"
"Of course, Ayako!" She giggled, "It gets too obvious when you stare at him like that."
"Oh, really?" I said, in a serious voice.
Calmly, I tucked out my sketch pad. I pointed towards a drawing of Jayden which I had sketched while he was playing football.
"Looks at this, his postures. . . Do you see em?"
She nodded, silently.
I couldn't blame her for getting confused.
"These postures. . . Kicking the ball from this angle requires a lot of stamina, and a lot of brain too. It's not all that easy."
She nodded silently, again.
"But one more thing it requires is. . . A large amount of focus. And it can't be achieved without practice. So, we can conclude that Jayden. . ." I said, my eyes sparkling, "Doesn't play football for no reason. It's not just a hobby."
"Whaaaaaaat?" Riko said, totally muddled.
"Well, don't you think it's somehow related to my theory?"
"Oh yes, your theory about his being a vessel or a sorcerer or something. . ."
"From the dark realm." I concluded.
"But h-how can you be so sure that he's from the dark realm?" She asked, "I mean, it could be that he joined it later on."
"I can answer that. This is because there's only one reason why he would've joined the dark realm. That is, if he was traumatized somehow or he seeks revenge. . . Hmm, now that I think about it, maybe he's faking it."
"Oh come on, Aya chan! He doesn't fake literally everything."
"Wait, hol' up. Maybe he really did belong to the. . ." I said, confused.
"What happened, Ayako?"
"I. . . Forgot. Again."
