Chapter 5

We finally reached the common room. Sebastian already went to bed, I won't blame him we had a long day and night after all. But as an avid book reader I stayed longer and examine the book. Turns out the book can heal the cursed person but with a sacrifice and not only that since the artefact is dark magic it can also control the infreris.

I shut the book and went to sleep to skip the night. As I sleep I hope Sebastian will acknowledge his uncle first, before anything. Because this can cause severe consequence. As I woke up the next morning Sebastian was waiting for me.

Sebastian: Good morning, had a beauty sleep?

Augustus: Yes, it is a good thing that everyone is out.

Sebastian: I see someone is asking for a cuddle, come here

Augsutus: Sebastian (I chuckled)

I was hysterical as Sebastian was cuddling me like a bear, he was also tickling me at the same time. As I feel Sebastian's body I felt so comfortable it was warm and firm, unlike mine which feels squishy despite me having average weight.

I wanted to tell him about what I found out about the relic but did not want to ruin this moment with us. Perhaps I should save it for later, before the day ends or something like that.

-Sebastian POV-

I finally got the chance to cuddle him, despite him waking up his hair smells fragrant, I hugged him tight feeling his entire body. Unlike my firm body he apparently has a squishy body and a bubbly rear.

Sebastian: Should we start our day?

Augustus: As much as I want to stay in this position we have classes to attend.

Sebastian and I attended our classes. While attending our classes I can't shake the feeling of fear about that book and the tome, I won't allow Sebastian to hurt anyone and I am sure Anne won't allow someone's life to be risked just for curing her.

As the students filled the Great Hall for their lunch break, the atmosphere was tense. Rumors of the recent attack in Hogsmeade had spread like wildfire, and everyone was anxious to hear an official announcement from the school's administration.

Suddenly, the doors of the Great Hall opened, and Deputy Headmistress Weasley walked in. She made her way to the front of the hall, her stern expression conveying the seriousness of the situation.

Professor Weasley: Students, I have a grave announcement to make. As many of you have already heard, Hogsmeade was attacked over the weekend. The Ministry of Magic and the school administration are investigating the matter, and we assure you that we are doing everything we can to ensure the safety of the Hogwarts community.

The students exchanged worried glances as Professor Weasley continued.

Professor Weasley: We believe that this attack was carried out by followers of the Dark Arts, and we urge all of you to exercise extreme caution and report any suspicious activity to a staff member immediately.

She paused, looking out over the sea of students.

Professor Weasley: I cannot stress enough the importance of staying vigilant and sticking together during these troubled times. Let us all remain united against the forces of darkness.

With that, she turned and walked out of the Great Hall, leaving the students in stunned silence. The gravity of the situation was clear to all, and the lunch break that followed was a solemn affair as students contemplated the dangers that now lurked outside the walls of Hogwarts.

After the speech Sebastian held my hand firmly and assured me that he will protect me at any cost. After hearing those words I felt reassured but still worried about the book, after lunchbreak since Sebastian's class is different from mine at this time. I bumped into Ominis, my distant cousin.

Ominis: Hey August, I heard you and Sebastian are going well.

Augustus: Yeah, he is a great person after all.

Ominis: That's what I thought too but his obsession on curing Anne has hurt some people.

Augustus: What do you mean?

As Ominis explained to me that they have been trying to reverse the curse of Anne through potions, other spells and even asked experts in St. Mungos about Anne's condition it is proven that is not curable.

However Ominis added that there is a dark magic or a relic that is kept in a catacomb that can reverse dark magic, Ominis said he wanted to talk about it with Sebastian but it requires a sacrifice, Ominis added that the weilder of such magic can cause sever consequences to a person if it is used and fell in the wrong hands.

After talking to Ominis I came to realize that we would just be making things worst. I rushed towards my class hoping that this day can finish. As the day is done I rushed to the Slytherin common room hoping to find Sebastian, but he wasn't there.

My heart was pounding, I asked my fellow student if they have seen Sebastian. One student told me he was heading to the Library. As I was about to go inside the Library I bumped into Sebastian.

Sebastian: Augustus dear! you startled me. I found another book it contains-

Augustus: We need to talk, please.

Sebastian: About what?!

Augustus: About Anne.

We head to a secluded area in the castle in order for us not to be caught or just in case we create a scene. My heart is pounding so fast, I cannot believe I would confront my boyfriend just after we became official.

Sebastian: So what about Anne's condition?

Augustus: Sebastian the relic is a dark relic, I talked to Ominis-

Sebastian: Wow you talked to Ominis?! My former friend?! So you trust him more?! I am so impressed-

Augustus: Sebastian stop! this is not about Ominis, this is about Anne-

Sebastian: I am not stupid! I heard you the first time!

Augustus: Sebastian, we can't just use a dark relic like this without knowing the consequences. The book I read it contains dark magic we are not capable of-

Sebastian: But we have to do something! Anne is suffering, and we can't just sit here and do nothing!

As I was trying to reason out with Sebastian I cannot believe I would be hurt like this, I started to hold my tears because I am not strong and confident in arguments like this, but I love him and I do not want to lose him or even Anne and his uncle. So I tried to reason with him.

Augustus: I understand that, but we can't risk using something like this without knowing the full extent of its power. We need to find another way.

Sebastian: You're just scared. You don't want to take any risks, even if it means saving Anne's life!

Sebastian glared at my eyes with fury and frustration while my eyes were about to flood with tears while my heart aches.

Augustus: That's not true! I just don't want to put anyone else in danger.

I told those words as I was about to burst, my eyes were soring, my nose was running and my hands were shaking. Sebastian slammed his hand on the wall and told me I was being selfish. I had it, I have to lash out.

Augustus: How dare you call me selfish Sebastian! my intentions are just to protect you! to protect Anne from a quick death in your hands!

Tears filled my eyes as I try to reason with him.

Sebastian: August- I need to-

Augustus: Sebastian, I agree to help you to save Anne because I was neglected by my family, my entire life I was alone! so I know how it feels to be alone!

Sebastian: August! I don't want to lose her, August, I will find the cure! I will use the relic.

Augustus: Sebastian, your emotions are clouding you! Sebastian babe please!

I begged for desperation as I stood, my heart is heavy with worry. I knew Sebastian was desperate to find a cure, but he couldn't let him use a dark relic that could have catastrophic consequences.
