A Hogwarts Tale: Love in the Time of Dark Wizards

Chapter 2

The next day, Sebastian and I were walking together towards our first class. As we made our way through the winding corridors of Hogwarts, Sebastian couldn't help but feel grateful for my help the previous night.

Sebastian: Thanks for staying up so late to help me.

Augustus: Of course.

-Sebastian POV-

Sebastian: I cannot believe it. I never really had a friend like this, he is not like Ominis, Ominis would bad mouth my decision and judge me. But Augustus he accepts me and he listens. He is such a great friend. I hope our friendship can last until this year is over.

-Augustus POV-

As we arrive at our classroom, Sebastian couldn't help but feel nervous. He had always struggled in History of Magic, and Professor Binns was known for being a tough grader.

Professor Binns: Alright class while I discuss our lesson, Mr. Sallow do you mind moving to the corner and take the re-test. I hope you studied this time with your friend.

Sebastian: Yes sir.

Augustus: (whispers) goodluck

Sebastian: (whisper) Thank you

As Professor Binns discusses the class I kept looking at Sebastian and he seems doing pretty well. He has no facial expression that shows difficulty, As I try to resist my yawns and my boredom at Professor Binns class, Sebastian finally finished his test.

Surprisingly Sebastian passed the re-test and we finally got our additional points for Slytherin. As we walked out of the library, Augustus turned to Sebastian and said, "You owe me one now."

Sebastian: Of course, I do. Thanks for helping me out, Augustus. I couldn't have done it without you.

Augustus: (shrugs) No big deal. I know how it feels to struggle with History. Besides, we're Slytherins. We need to stick together.

Sebastian: Agreed, Speaking of which, do you want to grab a bite to eat at the Great Hall?

Augustus: Sure

-Sebastian POV-

This wizard is really something, something about him that I have not seen from Ominis or any other Slytherin wizards. He is not arrogant and he is ready to help. As we grab a bite in the Great Hall. Augustus had to leave for his next class, the Astronomy Class. While he was on a rush he dropped his telescope.

Sebastian: August! Darn it he can't even hear me. Well I guess I have to bring it to him.

As I plan to bring it to him I remember I have not discovered the Astronomy class tower yet which means I have to walk my way through. After walking and bumping into some students I finally reached the Astronomy Tower. As I was about to tell Augustus that he forgot his telescope I saw him talking to Amit livelier and well more active.

-Augustus POV-

It is nice catching up with Amit specially his knowledge about the universe and astronomy. It always makes me wonder there is something about him that makes our conversation interesting. He was a friend back then but due to our personal time we have not caught up that much until now.

Professor Shah: Class this is a perfect  for constellations, please bring out your own telescope and take down notes about the constellation you will see.

As I search for my bag I realize I did not bring my telescope. I was in a panic until Amit lend me his extra telescope. He said its old but it seems new, I really like how organize he is and how disciplined he is.

-Sebastian POV-

Well I guess he won't be needing this (telescope), and I thought I was his friend, turns out he has someone more valuable to him. As I try to shrug the thought that I was feeling left out I can't think of my self about the past. 

On how I tried to hang out with a group of Slytherins and they end up leaving me or just taking advantage of me. And Ominis, he does not even want to talk to me after the incident with Anne. Because he agrees with my uncle that there is no cure for Anne, I may have stopped searching for a cure now but I know there is. 

I really want to spend my time in Hogwarts with someone I can trust and make memories. As I head back to our common room I am thankful that no one was in there, I played wizard's chess enhancing my skills since I love the game. 

-Augustus POV-

That was a difficult constellation luckily Amit was there to help me adjust the telescope. I really would be lost in this class if not for him.

Professor Shah: Ok Class! Thank you for your cooperation. please pack your things and make sure no item is left behind.

Amit: August you may keep my telescope for as long as you like.

Augustus: Oh, thank you! that is really nice. 

Amit: Would you want to have dinner with me? in the Great Hall?

Augustus: No Thank you, I have to our common room and check on Sebastian.

Amit: Sebastian Sallow? is he your friend now?

Augustus: Yes he is, he is a kind person if you really know him.

Amit: Ah ok then, good night!

As I enter the Slytherin common room I noticed Sebastian playing wizard's chess not that I am a fan of wizard's chess but it seems cool to prank him. As he move his knight in a location leaving his king open I casted a spell to move the queen to check mate his king.

Sebastian: What? How?

August: Check mate!

Sebastian: Oh it's you well played. 

I noticed Sebastian sounds grim compared in the previous days, I have seen him frustrated and irritated but not sounding grim. As I drop my books and change into my casual wear I asked him.

Augustus: Is everything ok?

Sebastian: Yes. And your telescope is on that table.

Augustus: I knew I forgot my telescope here.

Sebastian: You actually dropped it earlier, your welcome by the way.

Augustus: Thank you, are you sure your ok?

Sebastian: Why don't you ask Amit?

Augustus: Amit? what about him

Sebastian: I saw you talking to him and hanging out, you seem having more fun with him.

I was shocked I did not know he would be this insecure, I only met him for a few weeks and he is acting up. I told him that Amit was just a friend like him and he shan't not be jealous.

Augustus: You do not need to be jealous, he's my friend just like you are.

Sebastian: Ok fine, but you have to spend time with me too. 

Augustus: Sure, tomorrow I am free where do you wanna go?

Sebastian: Hogsmeade, let us get a butter beer I am sure we earned it.

Augustus: Sure thing! Anyways I will take a sleep now it was a long day.

-Sebastian POV-

I cannot believe I acted in front of Augustus that was so weak and embarrassing, I never really felt this kind of possessiveness before. I better not make a big deal of everything, if he wants to hangout with me then he will. But still I do not know why I got the urge to react this way. I never acted like this with Ominis.

As I glimpse in to the bed Augustus is sleeping I took a glimpse of his hair as the moonlight  touches it. It was beautiful his eyes were green like Slytherin green, not to mention his personality. Who am I kidding it is just a typical friendship feeling, the bond we created.
