"Take my word for it, for the next 10,000 years."

Visions of purple and yellow danced through the air. It was sparkling. Beautiful.

Once, years ago, the land of the Element Kingdom lived in peace. Air, Fire, Water and Earth.

The Light Elements led the kingdom, held to a higher standard than the others, and as such, they were more powerful than the rest.

The Dark Elements were... well, they didn't have a very high representation. The other Elements took their name at face value, and highly discriminated against them.

Even though not all the Dark Elements were bad, there was one. One of them, who ruined everything, and completely altered history.

And it reached the King, a Light Element, who was just looking for a reason.

It was on that day that the Dark Elements were banished. Their houses and their places of business were destroyed. Everything they ever owned and knew was demolished forever. They had no home here anymore.

The King demanded every single one move to an island off the coast of the kingdom, a jungle-like area where he knew most wouldn't survive.

But as this was happening, history was made for the second time.

A mage appeared, the last Celestial, one who could control both Light and Dark. A god on earth who graced the King with her presence. And she had grave news for not only him, but for the entire kingdom. The King had made a grave mistake.

In 10,000 years, the Dark Element who ruined everything would return. He'd fight against the people who'd done him wrong, and he'd win. His secret weapon, the most powerful soul in the known universe, would create a catastrophic storm, and claim the world for the Dark Elements to control. For himself to control.

But there was one shining glimmer of hope.

Three Chosen Children, found with the help of an amulet—the Light Emblem—would band together, found with the help of the princess of Light, and using their power, they'd fight against the powerful soul, and claim their throne as the rulers of the kingdom.

The mage created the Light Emblem that day, a gold prism-shaped necklace with a purple gem in the middle, and enchanted it with her own power.

"You are, at this very moment, witnessing the prophecy to change the world."

The King was enraged by this. At that very moment, the mage was executed, but nevertheless, the prophecy was still recorded—though how it happened had slightly been twisted. He had tried to say he'd done a valiant thing, but the King was overthrown and killed by his people, and his descendants took the throne.

And so, time went on. The would-be rulers of the kingdom, 10,000 years later, died mysteriously, and their newborn daughter disappeared. A Fire Element has taken their place, and the Light Elements have died out.

In a world where the people have been lied to or slaughtered, people try to move on with life, but some have their suspicions.

The anniversary of the prophecy is in a week presently, and everyone seems to have forgotten.

Except, of course, for the believers who still have faith in the words of a brave and kind mage.

"Ahem!" The teacher cleared his throat, looking back at his class. "Did any of you listen to a word I just said?"

One last pencil flew past her face, and she sighed. It seemed that in this school, Sage Stonewing was the only person trying to learn.

"Hello?" The teacher reiterated, slamming down the chalk. "Okay. Who can tell me a single thing of what we just learned?" A hand shot up in the back, and he rolled his eyes. "Amber."
