Chapter 5: Invite

You were at the office doing random work that needed to be done

When Anna walked in smiling

She suddenly took out a fancy Invite

"Hm?" You hummed at her

"Look who got an invitation for the anniversary for the company!~" She beamed proudly

"Congratulations" you said with a small smile as you sat down your pen

"Oh but my dear Y/n that isn't all" she said

Suddenly out of nowhere she took out another one and gave it to you

"I also managed to get you one!" She said

"Oh? Thank you" you said taking it off her hands and looking at the fancy invite

Usually to be invited at this party you need to be considered important to the company

Usually they would ask the people that are going to be invited to come to the meeting room to get their invitation but it seems that you were fully unaware of that because this invitation specifically had your name on it

You figured this may have been the work done by Mrs.Kim

She would definitely do that

"This is a nice invitation and all but I don't think I'll be able to go" You said

"Why not?!" Anna gawked at you

"I don't have a Fancy dress or suit" you said putting your hands up

"Oh don't be like that! I'll pay for you!" She said

"I appreciate the offer but I don't think I'll be able to" You said as you stretched

"It's fine I don't mind how about on the weekend we go shopping for dresses you find the dress that you like the most all you pay half with what you can and I'll pay the rest!" She said

"Are you sure?" You asked

"Of course! Also please bring your brother and sister I'm sure they would enjoy watching you dress up!" She said

"Very well then" you responded with a smile

"Yay this will be fun!" She said walking out preparing

You took one more glance at the invitation as you smiled

It's not that you didn't have enough money to buy yourself a nice decent dress

Or the fact that this is very likely your first invitation to these

But it's the fact that if you want shopping with Anna you would really likely end up have very expensive luxurious stores

And knowing your boss's wife and his daughter they would definitely try to shame you in any way despite coming it from a luxurious store

But you decided that it's not worth your time worrying about people like that

Instead you should be focused on the future so that when you finally leave this shit company you can be able to stand up on your own again and maybe quit your other jobs and get an even better paying job

Just smiling at the thought that one day you could maybe have a good enough job that you're even your grandfather would be able to retire and live a peaceful life made you happy

You were definitely gonna make that come true
