There wasn't a lot he could do since he was limited to what he could find in the cave or snuck in during the deliveries. But he did his best. He was already making their meals daily, so he just tried a little harder. He went to his garden and picked some flowers. They were slightly pathetic, but both his soulmates understood. Then he made them necklaces. He really wanted to make rings, but he was afraid that was too much.
It took him nearly a month to finish the big presents he wanted to do for them. Tae was the easiest; the human was in love with painting and music. He loved playing this particularly loud instrument that Jimin had never seen, but when it was brought with their delivery, the human was so excited. So Jimin made a room for the younger. A room where he could play all the music he wanted and paint until his heart was content. Tae wouldn't have to put everything up anymore; he could leave his pretties out while working on them, and Jimin knew he'd love that.
Addy was the hardest one; the only things that she liked to do were read and sit at the waterfall. Something she was doing a lot more of lately, it was bothering Jimin, he felt like he was trapping her there and she wanted to be anywhere else. So he tried his hardest to crack that shell, but it seemed she was even pulling away from Tae, and Jimin was worrying himself sick over it. He didn't know what to do, so he focused on her present. He worked on the furniture. He wanted a little living room at the waterfall where she could relax and read in her favorite spot.
A couch, table, and small bookcase were made. It wasn't super humid in there, so the books should be fine as long as they don't get wet. The day that he finished everything was a particularly bad day for Addy. She had started her period, and for some reason, this one was a lot more painful than the last one. He had run around the garden, grabbing all the herbs he could think of to make her tea to ease her pain, but it wasn't enough.
"Can I just go sit by the water? Maybe it'll help me forget for a bit," her voice was weak as she winched constantly anytime she moved. "Please, Jimin."
He wanted her to go so he could see her surprise. It had been ready for a few days, but she hadn't left the bed, so she hadn't seen it yet. But he also didn't want her moving around. "I'll agree on one condition." She raised her eyebrows in annoyance, and Tae snickered behind them. "I have to carry you there and back. I don't want you walking in this condition."
Addy knew that she wouldn't win, not with the world's most stubborn demon. But what could she do? She wanted to go and see if that worked, but she also absolutely did not want to be carried. She tried to protect her heart, but he was not making it easy. He'd be stuck in this cave forever if she didn't fall in love with him, but could she let herself fall for a demon? A demon that she's fairly sure Tae is already head over heels for.
They could be so happy together that they don't really need her. Tae is more than happy to live in this cave forever, and she knows they wouldn't have to if she fell. But what would their life be like if they left? The world looks down on two males being together and then add her into the mix. No one would ever understand, even if they explained the entire soulmate thing until they were blue. People wouldn't get it.
But if she left, if she left both of them, they could stay there and be happy. So no, she didn't want him to carry her and make her fall for him harder because it was already hard enough to resist. He was an amazing guy, both of them were. But she wanted them to be happy, and the only way that was possible was for her to leave. She'll go as soon as the year is up; she'll make them happy together in their cave. "I guess," she sighed. She knew he wouldn't drop it and needed her waterfall.
Jimin scooped her up like it was nothing, and well, for him, it really wasn't. He was strong, and his lithe body packed so much muscle, which made her blush a bit. He carried her to the part of the cave where her waterfall was. "Close your eyes," he said before she could even ask why he looked at her. " Please, for me, just close your eyes until I say to open them."
"Okay," she whispered as her eyes slid close.
He continued walking, and she heard the waterfall. The instant the sound reached her ears, a calm ran over her body. "I made you something, and I hope it helps," she said, sitting down on something soft, not the hard ground like usual. "You can look now."
Her eyes blinked open slowly, going to the waterfall first before she heard him chuckle. She turned to look at him, "what?"
"Only you would ignore everything around you and stare at your waterfall," he said, smiling so big, and then she started to look around. She was sitting on a lovely couch with fluffy cushions, and it was big enough for all three of them. There was a table in front of her that she could put her feet on and one next to her. Then, to the left, near the cave wall, was a bookcase with all her favorite books and a few new ones. "Tae made the paintings just for you."
The walls were decorated with paintings and things Jimin clearly made. New blankets were even in a basket next to the couch. "You did this for me?"
"I did. Tae got his room, and you needed one as well. But Tae is nosey, so he insisted on adding the paintings. " She could tell he wasn't upset because he was so fond of the human.
"Yeah, he tends to do that," she giggled. "He likes to be involved."
"He does," Jimin stood up after handing her a new book to read. "I'll be back in an hour with your tea; you will drink it without complaints."
She rolled her eyes and agreed before the demon turned around and left her in solitude. She'd have to get used to it. She'd leave them and go to one of the other villages; she'd find one that wouldn't force her to marry because there was no way she could ever be with someone. Not after having the two best men in the world.
She'd have to find a way to talk to Eagon without either of them finding out, she had time, but she'd need help to find a place where she could be alone and she can't do that stuck in there. She couldn't even read, her thoughts too consuming to let her get lost in the fantasy world. So she laid down, covering up with the new blanket Jimin made. It smelled like the sharp scent of paint and cleaner she was starting to associate with Tae and the smell of herbs and food that Jimin always seemed to smell like.
She could love them oh so easily. If she did, it only means their doom. She sighed to herself as the first tear fell.
