"Why are you so stressed? You'd think you were the one about to give birth."
That comment did nothing to ease Jin's stress; he just glared at his friend and continued his pacing around the room.
Addy looked down at the toddler sitting next to her, "Your dad is being weird."
"He's always weird," Kook replied back instantly with no regrets.
"This kid," Jin sighed out. "Look, last time we were here, you almost died. So sorry for being a bit wary about doing it again."
She got it, and she was nervous as well. But this time around, she had her soulmates and her family, and she was whole. "My water hasn't even broken yet. Go take a walk, and make sure Jimin isn't painting the girls' hair a funny color or something. Just leave here and stop stressing me out."
"Yeah, don't stress out my mom." Kook is nothing if not completely loyal to anyone other than his father. They love each other; that much is clear. But Kook has made it his mission in life to be the reason his father starts getting grey hair early.
Before Jin could even clap back, several loud gunshots were heard in the distance, and the sounds of people running and screaming took over. Jin's eyes went wide, and their door slammed open. An out-of-breath Namjoon stumbled in, "We need you, baby coming."
"Go, I have Kook. We'll be fine."
"Don't have this baby without us," and then he was gone.
"What about my sisters," a small voice asked.
While she didn't know where they were currently, she knew that their Dad's wouldn't let anything bad happen to them. "They will be okay, I promise."
When Joon and Jin arrived on the scene, it was overwhelming. There was blood everywhere; Tae was on the ground with a Woman's head in his lap as he cried to the sky. Jimin was standing in the middle of the battlefield with a gun in his hands. His chest heaving up and down. In front of him was a bear, a massive one.
"Check on them," Jimin said with a firm voice.
Jin approached the crying man slowly. Tae has never been overly emotional, so seeing him so broken was hard for everyone. He kneeled down in front of him. "Tae," he whispered softly as the younger rocked back and forth.
"He knew her," Joon whispered as he kneeled down beside Jin.
A deep breath before he reached out to stop Tae's rocking. "Tae, I'm so sorry about your friend. But I need to get the baby out, and the sooner, the better. Can you let me do that? Can you let me save her baby?"
Big brown eyes blinked at him. "Can you save it, can you save her baby?"
"I can; I just need you to let go. I have to cut her stomach open in order to get the baby out." It would be easy; the mother had already passed, so there was no need to be careful. The blood loss wouldn't matter this time. He took a deep breath before he got started. Less than ten minutes later, Tae was holding a little boy, and Jimin was being handed the second one.
Jin fell back on his ass, and he let out a sigh, "What happened?"
"They left from Addy and Tae's village. They were afraid that their child could be a sacrifice. I thought they'd stop when I left, but apparently not. Lucy and her mother wait every year and bring them to their village to live. They ran in the middle of the night, made it through the caves somehow, and stumbled onto the village. They were told that Tae and Addy were safe and that they lived in another village."
Jimin paused, his heart breaking for his soulmate. "His cousin Wheaton told his wife to run when the bear crashed into their camp. He gave her a running head start, but she was too far along to make it far. Wheaton didn't have a weapon; the bear easily overtook him and went after Taylor. One slash to her back, and she was gone."
"Jimin made it just in time to stop the bear from killing their babies," Tae whispered softly without looking up from the baby in his arms. "We have to keep them, Min, I."
He kneeled down in front of his soulmate, "Shh, I got it. Of course, we will. We'll raise them like they are our own. You know that. But we need to get cleaned up and go see Addy. She doesn't know what happened, and you know she has to be worried."
That seemed to snap Tae out of it. He looked at Jin with so much worry in his eyes, "You, but she should have the baby today. Why are you here?"
Jin huffed a bit before getting up and deciding not to yell at his shocked friend. "You are right; let's go get the guys and twins so we can have this baby."
As soon as they walked into the healer's hut, Addy was there, holding a little girl, and Jungkook was sitting next to her with awe in his eyes. "You had the baby?" The four of them yelled out.
"Yeah, and you were nowhere to be found. Do you know how much I hate," Yoongi looked at the girls on the floor playing with their toys and Kook before mouthing out the word 'vaginas.' "It was traumatizing." His arms were crossed over his chest as he glared at the four in front of him.
"Ignore him; he's just grumpy," Jungkook mumbled as his little finger softly ran down the baby's nose.
"I get why we have a baby, but how did you four manage to come back with two babies?"
They looked at Hobi, and Tae started to tear up again. But Jimin saved him: "Bear attack, and it looks like we have triplets now."
That was all they needed to hear. They raised their six children together, watching them get married and have kids of their own. Not once did Jimin ever regret getting cursed or having more than one soulmate. He'd do it all over again if it got him the two of them and their kids—even the crazy family that came with it. It was all worth it.
