"I'll pay for it," Minhyun offers.

I fail to stop him as he's already passed his credit card to the cashier.

"Thank you," I look at him gratefully.

After clubbing at Gangnam. We settled for ramyeon from the convenience store. We cooked our noodles and sat on the seats outside the CU Mart.

He slurps up his ramyeon.

I look at him, fascinated and still in disbelief that I'm actually having supper with Hwang Minhyun.

He looks up and catches me staring at him (hopefully not like a creep).

"Eat," he says in a gentle voice, "before it gets cold."

I snap myself out of it. "Ah!"

I pick up my chopsticks and eat quickly. I didn't realize how hungry I actually was.

"So you got a new job?" he starts. "What job is it?"

"Oh! I got a new marketing job at Fantagio. Uhm... but I'm not exactly sure what my scope will be yet."

"Ah, Fantagio's a good company," he opens a bottle and takes a quick drink of water, "and what were you doing before?"

"I was working full-time as a barista at a cafe in Yeonnam."

"I love coffee," he smiles.

My heart skipped a beat.

He was so sweet for trying to make conversation.

I thought hard about what to ask him to continue the conversation.

This was my first time talking to a celebrity and I didn't want to ask something stupid - which was hard - because he's already well-known for who he is and what he does.

I gave up overthinking and just asked, "and what do you do for a living?" - even though, I obviously already knew the answer.

He laughs, amused at what I just asked.

"I sing, dance, make music, and act sometimes," he replies.

"Which one is your favorite?" I ask him.

"I can't choose one. I enjoy them all, but I think acting might be the most challenging."

I think back to myself binge-watching Alchemy of Souls. All 2 parts over 2 weekends, it was intense. (Obviously, Seo Yul was my favourite character)

"You were really cool in Alchemy of Souls though," I complimented.

With a shy smile he replies, "Thank you," before he finishes up his last bit of ramyeon.

After we finish our ramyeon, we moved to sit on the steps by the Banpo Bridge.

Unfortunately, the Rainbow Fountain was closed but we could still admire how the city lights reflected on the surface of Han River.

It was almost 4AM now. We spent almost an hour talking about our hobbies; which turned out we have quite a few in common.

A main one is that we both really like to Netflix and Chill. We spent a good few minutes raving over the same dramas & movies we've both enjoyed.

Another one is that we both actually enjoy cleaning. It's an odd thing to call a hobby, but that's what happens when you have a Virgo Mom. He and I both agree that cleaning is therapeutic and gives us a sense of control.

It was also refreshing to listen to his random but interesting stories.

We couldn't stop laughing when he shared a few funny episodes that happened during his recent work trip to Jeju with his Alchemy of Souls co-stars after I shared about wanting to visit the Island someday.

After the long conversation, we sit in comfortable quietude.

I sit and enjoy the stillness and tranquility. For a moment, I forget about the chaos of the world.

I felt peaceful. Here, with him.

I turn to look at him and watch as he closes his eyes and lets his head roll back, tilting up to the night sky.

He exhales deeply, as I continue to adore his handsome profile, softly kissed by the moonlight.

"What's on your mind?" I couldn't help but ask.

There was a pause, he looked like he was still deep in his thoughts.

"Honestly, I come here when life feels too much and I when I need some fresh air," he finally answers, "and when I do, I just end up feeling... lonely."

"It feels different being here with someone," he finishes.

I'm taken aback by his candour. I was honoured that he was willing to be so vulnerable with me.

"Well, I'm really glad I could be that someone," I looked at him and smiled.

"Me too," he replied.
