My first kiss with Minhyun felt like a dream. It was slow, tender, and gentle, but filled with love and affection that reflected the depth of our desire to explore each other deeper.

We spent the rest of the evening being couch potatoes. I laid comfortably on his chest, listening to his silent laughs at funny scenes, and the slow & steady rhythm of his heartbeat.

At one point, we ended up looking into each other's eyes instead of the TV. His gaze was soft as he caressed my cheek and tucked a stray hair behind my ear. His warmth and touch made me feel weak. I melted into him and never wanted to leave.

"I'm getting hungry," Minhyun suddenly speaks up while we're watching a rom-com movie and I realize how fast time has passed. We had lunch almost 8 hours ago and the sun has already fully set. I could feel my appetite awakening.

"Same! Want to have Thai food for dinner? I'm craving something spicy," I ask him.

"Ok!" He replies without hesitation as he opens up his phone to browse the food delivery app again.

"Ah, this looks delicious! I've been craving Papaya Salad!" I say in a sing-song voice as I dig into it with my chopsticks and take a bite.

I love Papaya Salad. It's the perfect crunchy balance of all the flavors - savory, sweet, sour, and spicy; and I enjoy spicy food with a passion.

I look across at Minhyun who looked slightly hesitant as he picks up some and eats it.

"Why? (왜요?)" I ask him, wondering why he looked so hesitant.

He takes in a quick breath, and grimaced. To be honest, I didn't know if he could take spicy food super well or not but by the looks of it, it was pretty obvious it was the latter.

"Oh no! Is it too spicy?"

He smiles, looking embarrassed and avoided my gaze and sucks in another quick breath.

I felt terrible, "Ah! Wait let me get you a drink! Do you have milk? Milk helps!"

I quickly get up and run to his fridge as he replies, "There's banana milk," before he coughs.

I grab a bottle of banana milk and rush back to pass it to him. He takes a long drink.

"Why didn't you tell me that you can't eat spicy food! We shouldn't have ordered Thai food," I looked at him feeling regretful, "I don't mind non-spicy food too!"

I thought about how his tongue must have been burning up but his sweet eyes were smiling at me in an effort to comfort me, as he finishes the entire bottle of banana milk.

"It's okay," he quickly responded. "I'm willing to try new things when I'm with you."

I stare at his lips which were swollen almost twice their normal size and my heart felt a funny mix of pain & fullness at the same. My goodness, he is too sweet for his good.

"Does it feel better now? Did the milk help?" I ask still feeling super concerned for him.

"Yes, it burns less now haha. Thanks for this." He waves the empty banana milk in the air.

"I appreciate you almost killing your taste buds for me, but don't do that again okay?" I warn him gently.

"It's okay, we don't have to stop eating spicy food completely. My tolerance will grow over time," He looks at me and smiles, "Slowly but surely."

My smile widens. I felt a huge wave of love come over me. He made my heart feel so full. No words could describe how much it meant to me that he was willing to go out of his comfort zone for me.

I pick up a piece of (non-spicy) Thai Grilled Pork Neck and feed it to him, "Try eating this~"
