Karen Karen (Keyboardist, The Six): Being in The Winters wasn't working out. I was tired of the band members trying to sleep with me. When Graham asked for my name, I told him it. Then when he asked for my last name I thought he asking for my first name again. That's how I became 'Karen Karen' [laughs]

Graham: It kind of became a running joke [laughs]

Y/n: I was so happy to meet Karen. A fellow girl in a band full of dudes. No matter how much the guys made me feel welcome, I always felt different from them. I was always different from them.

Warren: I made it my own personal goal to make Y/n feel safe and comfortable with us.

You and the rest of the band talked about moving to California, and that's when you met Camila. You hadn't really talked or met Camila before this moment, never having stuck around after practice. No matter how many times Warren begged you to stay.

Karen and you, quickly became best friends though. Being the only two girls in the band it made sense the two of you would bond.

You've always wanted to go to California. Perform on the Sunset Strip. And that's what the five of you did. Plus, Camila who after some hesitation joined you guys last minute.

You laid in the back of the van that Billy somehow managed to get, resting against Warren. He had his arm comfortably around you. It felt so right. So natural.

"So, once we get there we need to find a motel that's the first thing we need to do." You spoke up to everyone. Eddie looked back at you and said, "Do we even have enough money for a motel?"

You shrugged, "I guess we might have to get very comfortable with each other and room together if we get one. Two rooms three people in each room."

"I'd be fine with that." Warren said, a goofy smirk on his face. You laughed, Warren and you both had this goofy personality.

Camila Dunne (Wife of Billy Dunne): Y/n and Warren were so much alike. They were both goofballs with a passion for their craft. I knew as soon as I saw her lean into Warren at the back of the van, that they were soulmates.

Warren: I felt this instant connection with Y/n. She was just so much like me with a spike of a spunky attitude. She's the kind of girl who won't let you talk shit about any of her friends or people she loves, but is also extremely sensitive when it comes to herself.

Y/n: Growing up I was raised to stand up for others all the time. See something, say something. If someone is getting beat up I should step in. [laughs] man did that get me in a lot of trouble.

"Okay listen. I think that Romeo and Juliet is fucking stupid. I mean come on, you have these two people who are from rival families who I guess love each other so much that they basically kill themselves over each other when they think the other one is dead." You ranted.

"Romeo and Juliet I think is a wonderful tragedy and shows how far people go for those they love." Camila interjected.

You shrugged and turned to Karen, "Would you kill yourself over a man?" She shook her head, "Yeah, me neither."

Y/n: Now, I'd totally kill myself over a man if said man was Warren [smiles]

When you guys finally made it to California, you stopped at a rest stop to stretch and get fresh air. The van wasn't very well air conditioned which made it pretty miserable. Which was why you were a little bitchy the whole time.

"I don't want to drive." Eddie complained. Oh, and Billy and Eddie were arguing on who should drive.

"Look man, I drove most of us all the way from Pittsburgh to California give me a fucking break." Billy argued.

You sighed and walked in between them, "I'll drive." You grabbed the keys that were dangling from Billy's hand and walked to the drivers side not leaving them any room to argue.

Okay, yeah. You didn't have a drivers license but who cares? It's not like you were a bad driver. You knew how to drive a car.

Didn't mean you weren't weary when you drove by a cop. "Are you sure we should be letting her? She has no license!" Graham said.

"Shut the fuck up, Graham." You shouted from the front seat, clutching the steering wheel making your knuckles white. Karen sat up front with you, messing with the radio.

"I think Y/n's perfectly capable of driving us to LA even though she doesn't have a license." Warren pointed out. You smiled at him through the rear view mirror. He smiled back.

Sunset Strip, here you come.
