Chapter 13: My End

So this is the end of my life. I don't really understand what Kent said a while ago. But I guess I could never say no to him.

Perhaps, it is because I have already made my promise, a long time ago. Longer than anyone could imagine.

Even I don't remember that time. The time that I have made an important promise to him. Argh!!!!! I don't really understand a thing!!!

I can feel my body slowly turning to ashes. And my consciousness fading away.

I wonder if what father told me when I was just a kid is true.

"Hey Dad!!! What's this?" I asked him while pointing to a beautiful looking crystal on top of Dad's cabinet in his office.

"Oh.. Be careful, with that, Akira. It's something really important," he said while reaching for it.

"Eh...?!" was all that I could say. I don't understand anything. I was just like,5 or 6 years old?

"Well, you see, this is your life line," he said after sitting in front of me.

"My Life line? How can that beautiful crystal be my life line?" I asked.

"Here. Hold this," he said while reaching out to put it in my hand.

"Ok. Wow!!!! It really is pretty!!!" I exclaimed when I got to look on it nearer.

"It really is. It is as beautiful as you," he told me while messing my hair.

"Really!?"

"Yup. So you see, this crystal, even if it looks like it is not easily destroyed, it can be. Just one punch or anything, it can be destroyed. As I've said earlier, it is your life line. If it ever shatters, it only means that your dead," he explained.

"Then, you are taking good care of it, Dad?" I asked.

"Yes, I do. I don't wanna lose you, my child," he replied. I hugged him while holding the crystal tightly.

"If ever something happens to me while I am away from you, will you be able to find me?" I asked again.

"I'll do everything to find you, my princess," he replied again.

"Do brother have one too?"

"Nope."

"Then why do I have one?" I asked.

"Even I, don't know why, Akira," he answered. And then he took the crystal from my hands and put it back to where it was a while ago. He turned around and went back to his work.

I wonder, will he find me? Will he cry, when he knows about this? I want to know the answers.

I looked at Kent for the last time, for I can feel my end has come. Good Bye, Everyone.

Sorry for the short update after a long time of not having one. I just can't think straight because of my Thesis.
