Banana x GN!Reader | Smug banana

It was a normal day at Shovelware brain game. You were answering almost every question correctly and you seemed to be Banana's favorite contestant. While some of the other contestants were seemingly jealous that you were answering almost every question correctly. You answered another question correctly and Banana seemed to be happy for you and congratulated you. "Strange..." you thought, but you ignored it. You were about to thank him until you heard a deep, seemingly terrifying voice.

"BOO! BOOOOO!! You call this entertainment?" The voice exclaimed.

You turned around and looked up to see an angry looking cantaloupe with a police hat and a orange beard.

"This is how we did it back in my day!" The cantaloupe cried out.

Then the cantaloupe jumped down from the audience and landed infront of Banana and immediately grabbed him.

"Hey, whats the big idea?!" Banana yelled at him.

Then the cantaloupe jumped up from the stage and grabbed onto a cyan ladder. The cantaloupe started climbing up the ladder while holding Banana. Then a idea popped in your head and you started to climb the ladder after them. You saw the cantaloupe still climbing the ladder and then they placed Banana on the final floor and stepped beside him. You saw that the ladders were randomly placed and some of them were even broken in half! But that didn't stop you. You just have to save Banana! You moved to the right and climbed the ladders. You saw that there were barrels rolling towards you but you easily jumped over them. You didn't know that Banana was watching you from the top, seemingly smiling at your amazement. He couldn't help but daydream of you, but in your eyes he was just dancing. Then you finally reached the top and he was doing the "pog moment" face upon seeing you while the cantaloupe had the ">:(" face. Then the both of you proceeded to do the Sonic cd reference and jumped off the top floor while exclaiming "I'm outta here!". The cantaloupe looked quite confused but just simply shrugged. While you both were falling, you felt Banana grab you and carried you. Then he made a perfect landing while carrying you and the audience clapped and cheered. He then finally placed you down and gave you a smile. You then saw him having a seemingly huge smile, and you looked a bit confused.

"What? You didn't expect a reward or something? Well that would be rude of me not to give you something in return for saving me!" Banana calmly said.

You only looked at him until he brought you down, and then kissed you. You were quite shocked by this, but you thought about it and decided to kiss back. The audience seemed to clap and cheer more loudly. When you both were finally finished, you find a smug smile across Banana's face.

"Well...uh...it looks like the Banana kissed one of our contestants as a reward!" The Announcer awkwardly exclaimed.

"Heh, you liked that didn't ya, (y/n)?" The Banana smugly said.

You only gave him a small kiss on the cheek and went to your podium while he blushed alot. And you were blushing too. Now it was back to the game. After the game was over and you won the prize, you saw the Banana walk over to you and gave you a small kiss on the lips.

"Hey, im gonna give you a secret little bonus prize. You get to date me after the game, okay?"

You only giggled at his word and you accepted his bonus prize aka date invitation. He only smiled happily and went off and left through the door. "What a smug banana." you thought.
