"Oh baby, would you look at that?"

"Check. It. Out."

"Ladies, because of you my children will eat tonight." that was the words of a man in this place, I yet to know his name. I honestly barely even know anyone's names.
It was really hard, so I started giving everyone nicknames. Carol was Mrs. Sneaky, Shane was Mr. Scary, Lone ranger or Mr. Grimes was Rick, Dale was Creeper, Andrea was Beans Sanchez, and Daryl was many things. Such as Redneck, asshole, Legolas, Link, Merida, Lara Croft, Rambo, Neytiri, Hawkeye, Robin Hood, Peter Mayhew, Katniss and the more obvious one was sexy pants.

"Thank you."

"No, Thank Dale. It's his canoe and gear." Andrea said back, while her and Amy drank some water, then giving Jacqui a high five. Carl picked up the fish and shoved them in Lori's face.

"Mom, look. Look at all the fish."

"Yeah, honey. Now get it outta my face!" She smiled at him, while backing away from the kid and his fish.

"Where did you guys even know how to do that?"
She turned and asked the blonde duo.

"Our dad." They both said the same thing.

"Can you teach me how to do that?" Carl asked, giving the fish to someone else. Amy chirped back, "Sure. I'll teach you all about nail knots and stuff. If that's okay with moma?"

"You won't catch me arguing."

"Hey Dale. When's the last time you oiled those reals? They are a disgrace." She said as Creeper walked up to the camp. He looked shaken and was walking with caution.

"I-Uh." He started, "I don't want to alarm anyone, but we may have a bit of a problem." He turned around and pointed up at the top of a hill. I walked up next to him to look and so did Mr. Scary.

"What the hell is he doin'?" I asked, squinting my eyes at the sight. It was one of the guys from here, digging holes.

"Looks like he's diggin'." Mr. Scary said.

"Well no shit, but why?" I retorted back, turning my head to them.

"Let's go look. NOt good for the boy to be out in this heat all day like that." Creeper said, looking at me then pulling his gun over his shoulder and walking up the hill.

When we got up there we were traveling like in a pack. Everyone decided they wanted to have a look at what was going on with the guy. Everyone here was drawn to the attention but didn't say anything like grandmas at a country club or drama at the senior center. While standing there for a minute or two the man didn't say anything to us, only continuing to dig his holes.

"Hey, Jim." Mr. Scary said, hands in pockets.

"Jim, why don't you just hold up a bit, all right? Just give me a second here, please?"

"What do you guys want?" The guy's steps faltered. Clacking the shovel on the ground.

"We're all just a little concerned that's all."

"Dale says you've been out here for hours."

Another guy says behind me, with a blue button up.

"So?"

"So why are you digging out here in the blistering sun?" I asked.

"Are you headed to China, Jim?" Mr. Scary asked, trying to ease the weirdness. Even I was uncomfortable with this silence. I really didn't care why this man was digging but I had nothing better to do. But I do know that my Face was hurting like a bitch and was probably bruised or swollen.
I don't really have a pocket mirror on hand so I made a decision to look in a car mirror when I got back.
