The bullpen was loud and boisterous as Prentiss was trying to defend herself against JJ and Morgan who were pressuring her. Rossi stood back and pretended not to care while he sat on the edge of her desk, sipping his coffee. 'Hotch and Cecile have been fucking for months and no one has said anything about it. Why are you getting on at me for a couple dates?' Prentiss asked. 

'Language,' Cecile corrected with a grin as she stood tiredly. 'And we haven't been sleeping together. We haven't even kissed,' she remarked while throwing a gaggle of paper into the bin and returning to her desk.

Looking up, eyes suddenly glanced at Cecile as she made her confession. 'Aaron said that when I asked him the other day. I wasn't sure if I believed him, but you wouldn't both lie, would you?' Rossi asked curiously, suddenly becoming vocal in their conversation.

'How have you not had sex? The two of you have been flirting from the moment you met,' Morgan declared suddenly as he turned his attention to her.

'It's platonic. Relax. And don't change the subject, Emily Prentiss, why didn't you tell us about your boo?' Cecile asked curiously. 'It's like you have a whole part of your life that we don't know anything about.'

'Fine, three dates and I don't know how I feel, but he seems to really like me. Now, back to Hotch and Cecile. Not even a kiss?' Prentiss asked quickly. 'You call him your husband and you haven't even kissed him,' she added with outrage.

Cecile rolled her eyes and then glanced up to Hotch who was working on his own like always. 'We are two peas in two very different pods. Hell, he was telling me the other day how he only let me stay because of Gideon. He wanted to fire or move me, and still does from time to time,' Cecile confessed while flicking through one of her files.

'He did, did he?' Rossi asked, a mix of annoyance and humour as he watched the back and forth of their relationship playing out in front of him.

'Stop playing, you haven't been on one date since you two started being friends again. Actually, you haven't really been on many dates in the last few months. You two have at least kissed already,' Morgan mentioned as he wagged a finger at her.

Smirking, Cecile shook her head at him. 'Nope, and keep wagging that finger and you'll find out what it's like to live with nine fingers,' she warned. 'I've actually got a date tonight. We're going to Golden Boomer,' she added.

Rossi took in a deep, sharp breath before clearing his throat and gaining the attention of the team who waited for what he was going to say. 'I thought Aaron was cooking dinner for you for seven days after he lost the bet. Or does a restaurant count?' He asked smugly as the team smirked at the revelation.

'Thanks for reminding me. I need to cancel on him. I'm actually off to meet the man I was due to meet last night. His name is Donald, and he rides horses like I do,' Cecile mentioned as she collected a stack of her reports to take up to Hotch. 'It's the end of the day, we can go home now,' she called over her shoulder before walking up to his office and knocking on the open door.

The decision for a date was last-minute. In fact, had Morgan not commented on her depleted dating history, she wouldn't have gone on the date with Donald at all. He had been pestering her for weeks and she had always said no. But with one message, she was sure he could clear his schedule for her. 'Come in,' Hotch called as he noticed her.

Hotch's smile was wide, and yet he didn't even realise that he was smiling as Cecile walked in with her usual smirk and the documents that she had managed to get through at superhuman speed. 'All done, Reid had to help me with a few of these. I am not as good at maths as you may think,' she joked before Hotch noticed her suddenly grow nervous, her nose twitched for a moment before her hands twisted around one another. 'And I can't do tonight. It's not fair on Jack to be away from you like that, and it isn't fair for Jack to be uprooted to my house for a week just because it rained one time in another state,' she quickly admitted.
