By the time we got to Arcadia it was starting to get dark. I didn't have a clue where we were going and I didn't really recognise the town at all. I was so used to the streets of Phoenix by now. When we got to our new house my heart sank. I recognised it almost immediately. It was the "haunted" house on the top of the hill. The one that no one would get near. Many people came up with stories about how the previous owners had committed suicide in the attic. That attic was now a bedroom and I could only guess that it would be my room.

I climbed out of the car and saw that the delivery men had already been and gone because our boxes were in the lounge. I walked into the house which smelt like rotting flesh and I turned my nose up to the smell instantly. It was one of the worst smells I had smelt in a long time. My mum told me the inevitable. My room was the attic. The attic the previous owners had hanged themselves in.

I started to walk up the stairs, my legs shaking, when I was called back down the stairs.
"Why don't you meet up with Monty and Jasper? I'm sure they'll be happy to see you."

I continued up the stairs and decided to listen to my mums advice. I got out my phone and sat on the edge of my bed. I knew they would be together so I just text Jasper. I put my phone back in my pocket and decided to unpack a box or two whilst waiting for a reply.

After I'd unpacked a few boxes, I went downstairs to help my mum with dinner.
