Craig stood in front of his room's window holding a glass of wine reminiscing all the times he spent with Flora. He didn't notice that his mother has been standing behind him, then she cleared her throat.
"Hmhmhm". Craig turned to see who it was.
"Oh! mum
She signed. "I've got something to tell you about Flora".
"I don't want to hear anything about her. He walked out of her sight but she drew him back by his hand.
"Hey, it wasn't her fault, she was raped"
Craig looked unconcerned about what she said.
"So why didn't she tell me?"
"She was scared of losing you"
"She has lose me already"
"She still loves you Craig, she was just afraid to tell you. A gang of thieves robbed her and she was raped by one of them. She became pregnant and wanted to terminate it but her mum insisted that she should keep it. After she delivered the baby, she nurtured him for a while and later gave the child to her mother to start from where she stopped. Then she rented an apartment for herself so she can start forget all her sorrow and start living her own life.
"There was a day I asked Flora why she's living alone, she was dumbfounded for some seconds before she could give me an answer. She told me that it's for work purposes and more conveniency, I didn't know it was a lie
"She's really sorry now".
Flora knocked on the door and entered
"Craig, I'm wholeheartedly sorry, I was thinking I might lose you, that was why I kept quiet.
Craig held her hand, Flora was already having a good feeling inside her but he dragged her out of his way and left the room.
"Craig! Craig!! Craiiiiiig!!!. She sobs and gently sat on the floor bowing her head in shame.
"Flora, don't hurt yourself anymore. Mrs Roberts moved closer to her. Craig is still yours okay?"
"Mum, he has left me, he has thrown me away and I really tried to avoid all these but it became my biggest mistake.
Craig met Tony on his way out, he ignored him but Tony held his hand.
"Hey, stop being like this"
"It's none of your business". He released him hand himself.
"Take her back, it's not her fault after all, I even met her on her way to your room, she was distressed"
"She is only left to be blamed, I've dumped her and I don't go by to things I've abandoned". He walked away.
Craig started packing his loads as soon as it was aurora. Tony went to check up on him. As he entered his room, he saw him packing.
"Hey, why are you leaving and where are you going to?"
Craig ignored him and walked out on him, Tony pulled him.
"Stop walking out on me you jerk". He blurted.
Craig pushed him and he fell on the floor.
"Don't you ever say that to me again".
Mrs Roberts entered and saw Craig leaving.
"Can you guys tell me what just happened". Tony stood up dusted his body and folded his arms
"Craig is leaving". He said.
"Where is he going?, Craig where are you going?"
"I need to leave now, I just want to get over her". He meant Flora
"What will become of Flora"
"Forget about her"
"You can't be serious; that woman is in a depressed state, she's hurt because you dumped her.
"No! It isn't, she caused it all so she has to dance to the music now, just forget about her.
"Craig"
Craig took his bag and he left, his mother followed him. When he got to the entrance, he turned to his mother.
"Mum, don't be bothered about me, I'll be back soon"
"You don't have to go"
"I have to"
"Where are you going?"
I'll talk to you over the phone. He smiled, winkled and he left.
Craig left his house for his friend's house, Joe. He wasn't expecting him, he was really amazed as he came over.
"Hey pal, how have you been?, It's been a long time?
"I'm good"
"Come in". He entered Joe got two glasses of wine for each other.
"Hey, what's up?"
"Joe, I want to stay here for a while, I really need to get over something"
"I dumped my fiancee due to some reasons and I really need to stop thinking about her. If I should stay home, mum and Tony won't stop me that I should go back to her and I don't want to".
"Your fiancee, what made you dump her?"
Craig sighed. "I just discovered that she has a son, she was already a mother before we met"
"Oh my goodness". Joe opened his mouth wide astonishingly".
"That's jaw-dropping, why didn't she tell you?"
"She was scared of losing me"
"But it has happened already"
"Yeah it has, she said she was raped by one of the gang of thieves who robbed her six years ago".
"Six years ago?"
"Yes"
"So you've dumped her already"
"Yes, I can't get married to a mother"
"Okay, since that's your decision"
"You can stay here as long as you want, you are free"
"Thanks pal".
