As usual, every Friday at 6:30 p.m., JJ and Summer would take a table at Kie's restaurant to eat cookies and watch the sunset. It was at these times that JJ would tell her stories and sing to her.

Summer loved Friday nights; never in many years had they missed one. Pope was the one who drove Summer to Kie's restaurant that day. Jj had gone to Dana's for the afternoon, but he would join her later. Seeing the girl arrive at the restaurant, Kie's father smiled. He greeted her.

"Hi, MR. Kiara." She greeted him with a smile.

"Hi missie. Your table is ready." He said as he walked her to her table.

Kiara's parents knew about their little moment. Kie took to heart these little moments between the two of them. She made sure to reserve their table every Friday. Summer walked over to the table and sat down.

Mr. C. came over and brought her a banana smoothie with a straw. She thanked him and began to drink, waiting her big brother's arrival. He hadn't told her a story for a few days, he was very busy with his new girlfriend. It must be said, no pogues liked her. She was hateful, arrogant and manipulative. JJ didn't saw that. She started to draw with the crayolas that Kie had given her, drawing a picture of JJ and her. He would be very happy when he arrived.
Kie would watch the door, to see when JJ would arrive. She was worried that he wouldn't show up, that bitch had messed with her head.

"Kie, was I too early?" Asked Simmer, who had slipped behind the checkout counter.

Kie leaned over and stroked her head.

"No. He's just late, maybe he's fighting a dragon." She winked at her.

Summer hopped up and down, excited. Her brother was the bravest rider. She sat back down and waited.

10 minutes.
Thirty minutes.
And an hour.

Even she knew. Jj had forgotten. Her eyes welled up with tears. Why hadn't he come ? Several ideas came to her mind. "He doesn't like me anymore" was one of them.

She got up from her seat and walked slowly towards the exit of the restaurant, head down. She took a coin out of her pocket. It was the coin she earned when she lost her tooth, and she put it on the counter.

"Bye, MR.C. Here you go, thank you for the smoothie." She said sadly to him as she left.

Mr. C. watched her leave and then looked at the table. Jj hadn't shown up.
