Alone Together
4x02

The group was redirected to the Hollywood sign to help get people out and recover dead people.

Sadie stood with the three firefighters as they neared Bobby and Hen who were talking to the Chief in charge.

"Should we be worried about more of that hill coming down?" Eddie asked as they walked up.

"Yeah, we work quick, we work safe, we hope for the best. Where do you want us?" Bobby turned to the lady and she pointed at the Hollywood sign.

"Where's the rest of it?" Buck turned his head to look at the sign where letters were missing.

"Downhill, but where the H landed just west of here there were some hikers in the area."

"Guess they should've bought a vowel." Sadie and Hen turned to Chimney with a look of disappointment on both of their faces.

"Okay Hen, Eddie, and Sadie your with me by the sign. Chimney, Buck you stay here to help search for survivors."

"That's punishment for bad jokes."

"Not bad jokes, dad jokes. I know, I'm gonna be a terrible father." Hen laughed as she and Chimney went to get stuff to start their hikes.

Sadie, Eddie, and Hen grabbed a bag full of stuff and followed Bobby.

They trekked through the desert to get to the H.

"It's four story's tall, shouldn't we be able to see it by now Cap."

"Maybe it landed further west."

"This ain't the first time the Hollywood sign has fallen, legend has it back in the day a groundskeeper got drunk, crashed his car and knocked down the H."

"And how do you know that?"

"When I first moved here I wanted to know more about the area. Took one of those tours, it was very informative." Bobby stopped which made Eddie stop and Hen stop and Sadie ram into both of them. Clumsy girl.

"Sorry" she said before they heard voices

"Help!"

"Help I'm stuck!"

"Stay right where you are. LAFD. We will come to you."

"Muds to thick. We need ply wood."

"Dispatch this is Captain Nash 118. We are in the hills west of mobile command, working on the mudslide. We need a supply drop of plywood asap."

"Copy that Captain. Do you have a landmark for the pilot?"

"Uh yeah." He looked at Eddie and then the H. Sadie looked at Hen and shared a look.

The four firefighters laid down ply wood that the helicopters had dropped off.

"Don't move. That mud is liquid it'll suck you right in."

"Yeah tell me about it."

Eddie and Cap laid down more ply wood.

"What's your name?" Hen asked to the guy in the mud.

"Dylan."

"Okay Dylan. Everything's gonna be fine. We're gonna get you out of here. Bps slightly elevated and breathings a little shallow."

"Is that normal?" The young girl asks which makes Sadie look up.

"Given the situation, yes. But not ideal."

"Okay that mud is probably starting to restrict his lungs."

"Oh my god I'm gonna die-"

"Your not gonna die." Eddie chimes in which doesn't stop the young man from moving.
