The Unfamiliar Future

[Yeonjun's POV]

A little over three weeks later we just had Christmas. We didn't do much, in all honesty it was just me and Yena at eomma's house. I love my friends but sometimes you gotta have some alone time with family. After all it wouldn't have been possible for Yena or me to become an idol without our mother. Appa was too busy to come unfortunately, but he did send us gifts so he kinda redeemed himself. I'm pretty sure everyone else went back to their parents for Christmas, I like the presents but nothing makes me more happy than being with people I'm close with.

Now it's the 27th of December, New Year is coming. I wanted to have date with Chaewon for New Year's Eve, something that will leave a long lasting impact for my future with her. I mean our date for New Year's last year was great too, except for literally everyone we knew eavesdropping on us. I started thinking about it hard. I sat in the dorm with my laptop open doing some research for a good place to spend New Year's.

"Let's see here... We can watch the fireworks at Lotte World Tower... We can go out for dinner before the tower... Maybe go ice skating again, that was quite fun last year."

"Yeonjun hyung you in there?" I heard Taehyun say from outside the door while knocking.

"Coming!" I walked to the door and let him inside. "Need anything Taehyun-ah?"

"I need your help with something," Taehyun said.

"Lemme guess, you want to take Yujin out on New Year's Eve too?" I asked.

"Yeah and I need your help to plan."

"Take her to like the countdown in Dongdaemun Design Plaza or see fireworks at Coex Mall?"

"Maybe the countdown would be fun. How about you? Where are you planning on taking Chaewon noona?"

"I'm plan to take her to the Lotte World Tower. Also please don't follow us, I just want it to be the two of us."

"Alright I'll respect your privacy hyung!" Taehyun said and gave me a thumbs up. "Thanks for the suggestion."

"No problem, take care!" I said before Taehyun left. I made up my mind about what I wanted to do for New Year's, now I just need to call Chaewon. I called Chaewon and waited for her to answer.

"Hello? Yeonjunnie?" Chaewon said.

"Hey Chaewonnie, you wanna go out with me on New Year's Eve?" I asked.

"Um sure I'm down! Where are we going?"

"That's my secret that you'll have to find out!"

"Awww pabo Yeonjun not telling me anything..."

"Ya! If I told you then that would ruin the surprise and charm of it! There you are calling me extra?!"

"Fine I'll be looking forward for it, love you!" Chaewon said and hung up the call. I wonder how she's doing.

[Chaewon's POV]

I just finished calling Yeonjun, I really can't wait for our date. The only thing I'm concerned about is if our companies would agree for us to continue promoting. Knowing that we may not be able to promote for very long, I hope we can still make the most of it while we still can. Addressing the situation really worked in our favor and here's to hope 2020 gets better.
