I Do - Jinkook

#4 - Invitation

Jungkook woke up earlier as he was looking forward to this day. Though it was a simple breakfast invite, he was ecstatic. He thought of dressing up, but decided to choose a casual outfit instead and quickly left. Jungkook felt it was only polite to come earlier then scheduled time to give a helping hand to whatever that Seokjin is preparing.

With much excitement, he pressed the doorbell.

JK: "Hi Hyung. I've brought grapes."

Seokjin: "Hey JK. Thank you, I'll place it in the bowl. Do I need to wash the grapes?"

JK: "Its already pre-washed Hyung. If you don't mind, I can try to find a clean bowl."

Seokjin: "The kitchen is all yours JK."

JK: "It smells so good. Do you need help Hyung?"

Seokjin: "Hmm...Let me see...You can help to set up the dining table. I'm done very soon."

Jungkook didn't expect Seokjin to prepare home cooked meals for him. In fact he thought Hyung would just ordered in. He was touched and his likeness level for Hyung has definitely reached a new peak. He couldn't help but to continue observing his Hyung who looks so soft and that focus look when he cooks. How he wished this is not a once-off thing.

Seokjin POV

Cooking for a foodie is extremely pressurizing for him. He could have just ordered in, but no, the ambitious him wants Jungkook to have a taste of his home-cooked meal. 

The unnecessary pressure and anxiety he put himself into. He kept glancing at Jungkook as he took the first bite, and secretly prayed Jungkook would love his cooking. He starts to get nervous as Jungkook frown. He is doomed.

Jungkook POV

Oh my god. What can't his Hyung do? He is not trying to be bias or to placate Seokjin with niceties, but really the food taste great. It exceeds whatever expectation he has.

Seokjin: "JK? Is the food ok?"

JK: "Hyung! This is not just ok, this is beyond ok! Hyung can I hire you to cook for my mukbang meals?"

Seokjin: "Sure JK. Glad that you like it. For a moment I thought the food doesn't suit your taste."

JK: "Why you think that way?"

Seokjin: "You were frowning earlier on. Its ok to tell me if its not nice."

JK: "This is my default reaction if the food is beyond expectation."

Seokjin: "You flatter me too much JK."

JK: "I literally devour everything. Thank you Hyung."

Seokjin: "No. Thank you for coming over. Actually JK, I have a favour to ask you."

JK: "What is it Hyung?"

Seokjin: "Do you want to be my boyfriend?"

Seokjin: "Sorry! Sorry! Gosh you must be shocked! What I meant is... do you want to be my pretend boyfriend?"

JK: "Well... erm... pretend boy...friend?"

Seokjin: "I'm embarrassed. How do I start. Erm... well I'm at this age, where I kept getting wedding invites and I'm tired of people asking me questions. Like when is my turn next and when I replied them I'm single, they asked me why. And its never ending. Before you ask why I never asked my friends. Well. I did. My friends are mostly attached and they tend to focus on their partner. And those who are not attached, they scared of gossip-mongers. So yeah, I've talked to my friend Yoongi and he suggested you. Since you like food, maybe I can entice you with free food. You don't need to give my friends gift. I'll settle their gifts. What do you think?"

JK: "Ermm... well that's a lot to take in. When you mentioned Yoongi, are you referring to AgustD?"

Seokjin: "Yes he is. If he is the deciding factor for you, he will usually be there with his model partner, Jimin. He is attached by the way."

JK: "Ahh... I see... Are you ok with me being the pretend boyfriend? I'm just a mukbang-er."

Seokjin: "You're not just anyone JK. You're a celebrity too! Don't ever bring yourself down like that ever."

JK: "Okay Hyung... So what do we tell them then?"

Seokjin: "YOU'RE IN???"

JK: "I guess?"

Seokjin: "Thank you! Thank you! I could've hug you! You're my lifesaver!"

JK (softly whispered): "you can still hug me though..."

Seokjin: "You're saying something JK?"

JK: "Oh yes, can you feature as my boyfriend in my live-stream?"

Seokjin: "Sure why not!"
