(Nico's POV)

Nico woke up to find he had been gift-wrapped.

Well, sort of. Both of his arms and legs were wrapped in gauze paper, along with his torso and his right foot. Nico looked around and realized he was in the infirmary, so he didn't dare try to sit up straight, since he couldn't for the life of him remember what happened, or exactly what hurt.

Nico groaned and decided there was only one way to find out.

He tried to raise his arms, but he cringed at the pain and immediately lowered them. It was a similar story for his legs. Flexing his stomach resulted in a sharp intake of breath, and after all this his head was beginning to ache. Nico stared up at the ceiling and realized he was completely incapable of movement.

It was the perfect moment for Will to walk in.

"You're awake!"

Nico grunted.

Will walked over to Nico's side and picked up a small plastic cup that had been on his bedside table. "Drink," he ordered.

Nico looked at the cup. "What is it?"

"Unicorn draught. For the pain. Here." Will held out the cup for Nico to take.

Nico blinked. "I can't take it."

Will frowned. "Sure you can. Don't be so stubborn. This will help."

Nico shook his head, then winced. "No, I mean I really can't take it. I... I can't raise my arms."

Will chuckled as Nico's cheeks turned pink. Nico didn't like feeling dependent, and he knew Will knew it. Still, Will nodded as if he understood.

"Okay, Death Boy. I'll be right back. You stay here." Will turned and took a few steps towards the door before stopping to look back at Nico. "On second thought... You probably couldn't go anywhere anyway."

Nico scowled, but Will just laughed and left the infirmary.

(Nico's POV)

Will walked back in a few minutes later with a pill and a Jason.

"Hi, Jason," Nico mumbled tiredly, although he had no idea why Jason was here.

"Hey," Jason said, following Will to Nico's side and watching as the son of Apollo put the pill in a small bowl and smashed it with a mallet.

"Jason begged me to let him come and see you," Will said absently, as he focused on breaking the pill into smaller pieces. "I got tired of his nagging, so here he is."

"Great," Nico said, in a tone that suggested greater things had happened.

Will didn't reply, but instead muttered to himself about the pill not breaking and walked over to a desk on the other side of he room, bowl in hand.

Jason wasted no time. "So, you and Will, huh?" He asked, leaning closer to Nico so he could whisper.

Nico blinked. "No."

Jason sighed. "But don't you see how perfect you are for each other?"

"Don't you see how annoying you are when you say I should date every guy I talk to?"

Jason pouted. "Have you at least tried kissing him?"

"No, Jason." Nico wasn't keen on telling Jason that he, in fact, had already kissed Will, and that the kiss had exceeded expectations.

Jason opened him mouth to say something else, but closed it when Will walked over and held out a spoon with something powdery in it above Nico's mouth.

"What is that?" Nico asked. He'd never been fond of medicine.

Will rolled his eyes. "Powdered unicorn draught. Here."

Nico opened his mouth to protest, but Will stuffed the spoon into his mouth before he got a chance to say anything. Nico gagged as he swallowed the powder, but he felt the medicine immediately starting to work. His pain disappeared almost completely, and the only part of him that still hurt was his right ankle.

After he got over the general powdery dryness of his mouth, he asked, "What's wrong with my ankle?"

Will bit his lip. "Broken."

Nico groaned and let his head fall back on the pillow. "Wonderful."

"With the unicorn draught in your system, though, it should fix itself, slowly. You should be fine in a few hours." Will took a tissue from his pocket, wrapped it around the spoon, and placed it on the table.

Nico nodded. "I'm tired."

Will turned to Jason. "You should go, then. He needs sleep."

Jason turned to Nico and winked before leaving he infirmary. Nico made sure Jason saw him roll his eyes.

Will either didn't notice, or pretended not to. "Well, I guess I'll get going. Sleep is good for you. It gets the natural healing process going. The medicine was supposed to make you drowsy anyway. If you need anything, just --"

"Will."

Will put one hand on his hip and ran the other through his messy blonde hair. "Yeah?"

"I'm not tired."

"But you said --"

Nico reached out, grabbed the collar of Will's shirt, and pulled him into a kiss. Will blinked in surprise before closing his eyes and putting his hands on either side of Nico on the bed. Nico loosened his grip on Will's shirt before pushing him up gently so they could breathe.

Will smirked. "You're a flirt, Nico."

Nico felt himself blushing. "I couldn't resist."

Will smiled and gave Nico a peck on the lips."You need to sleep. Doctor's orders."

"But--"

"Doctor's orders."

Nico sighed in defeat and closed his eyes. He listened as Will walked to the door of the infirmary, opened it, then stopped. Before the door closed, Nico heard Will say something. It was so quiet, Nico wasn't sure if Will even meant for him to hear it.

"We'll finish this later, Death Boy."
