Adrien looked out the window he's eyes scanned the buildings and cars they passed by. He felt like one of those princess he's mo- someone used to tell him about.
That were stowed away and thrown in to a dungeon or tower by the antagonists forever to be trapped unless the hero came to save them.
And he almost chuckled at the thought , considering the situation he was in, he's 'father' was a literal villain who terrorized paris every single day and if not hour, the man had power and money at his back and call . He had people working for him with or without money like they were his henchmen.
His mother is dead for crying out loud, but no that wasn't the sad part apparently his mother isn't his mother and he wasn't human . And there wasn't a hero who was going to save him because he was the fucking hero and his love interest isn't interested.

He snickered to himself mentally
"Adrien....?"
《Apparently not 》
"Yes Aunt Natalie?"
"Did something catch you're interest ....or did hear something funny?"
《Apparently he was grinning like a madman and he didn't even notice...oh poor Natalie the princess she's taking care of has gone mad and the king has been terrorizing is people. OH! whatever shall we do please anyone rescue her from this madness .》
" I just remembered the joke i heard from a friend"
Adrien said he's grin never wavering.
"Oh What's it about if you don't mind me asking?"
Natalie asked curiosity dripping along with the concern.
《Oh well , she asked for it》
"Is about a princess who went mad after finding out her father was the villain and that her mother was not her mother!"
Adrien said
"Oh...."
Natalie replied
"And you know what's funny.....she isn't sure she wants help but wants to be free but the only problem is she is the hero and her love interest isn't interested at all!... and her poor servent is forced to watch as she goes mad"
Adrien said he's grin growing larger the more he spoke.
"Oh....what an interesting joke"
Natalie said, her face scrunched up in poorly coverd concern
《 Hehehe hehehe...oh poor Natalie the princess is trying to covert you into madnes!》
He looked out the window and hummed a nameless song, he ignored the look Natalie gave him. He's gotten used to it surprisingly enough after Natalie found him in the dinning room alone after the argument she had with "Father" but that was five days ago.

Something is wrong with Adrien.
They had noticed that a few days ago , he seemed to be distant from them , isolated from them like he was in his own world, ofcourse he acted as usually he normally acted but it just felt wrong, forced even, he didn't even have delighted shine or beam that sparkled his eyes...they looked sombre, sad and in pain twisted even unlike the usual innocent ones
And he seemed to be getting worse as if he was an explosion waiting to happen
But they would help him before he drowned.
