"I'm so glad you could make it!" Minho's excited loud tone ringed in Hyunjin's ears resembling the melody of sparrows in spring as soon as he stepped foot in his friend's mansion.

Hyunjin's head snapped upwards in the slightest as his eyes blinked aggressively a few times when he tried to restrain a yawn from escaping. To say he was tired from the flight was an understatement.

"Of course!" Chan's usual happy chirping greeted their friend back, Hyunjin feeling a small breeze form as his friend started running towards the mob boss.

The tallest waited patiently as the two before him hugged the hearts out of each other, Chan's usual touchy and affectionate nature coming to surface as he refused to let go of Lee Know. He could feel his heart swell in adoration just a little bit.

When Minho's cat like brown eyes trailed on him, he felt a tug in his heart pull him closer as something formed in his stomach, he figured it's emotions. He felt an unfamiliar swarm of butterflies take place in his chest, his heart thumping so hard against his rib cage he thought it'll fly out and splatter the walls. This was most likely happening because it's been a little over a year since he last saw his friend, so it was normal to feel excited in his presence.

"Don't keep me waiting, Hyunnie..." He teased him in a much calmer approach than Chan, a mischievous smirk forming crinkles under his eyes as he stared into Hyunjin's soul.

Hyunjin felt every drop of need for sleep disappear when he suddenly felt warmth against his bones, a tight embrace engulfing him in drowning waves which were surprisingly comforting. "I missed you, my friend." Minho's tone lowered as he whispered in his friend's neck, inhaling his scent as he tickled his skin with his pointy nose.

Hyunjin gulped slightly, before returning the embrace, weak at first, until he gained a little bit of confidence and pulled Lee Know up, his feet failing to touch the floor at his friend's affection. "Same goes for me." He whispered softly in Minho's ear, nuzzling it just like a mama cat did to her kitten.

"Come on, let's get you a room. You must be exhausted." Minho placed his palm comfortingly on Hyunjin's waist as he guided him and Chan upstairs, two bodyguards following them around the mansion. "Dinner will be served in an hour." He informed them, words colliding with each other as he couldn't hold in his excitement.

When his friend left and Hyunjin was left alone in the guest bedroom, he turned around toward the bed and let out a long tired sigh escape from in between his lips, his eyes trailing over the room, analyzing the unfamiliar surroundings. He didn't let his body fall on the bed, because he knew that once he did, he'll never get up. Instead, he grabbed some clothes from his luggage and threw a towel over his shoulder before he made his way to the bathroom.

The hot water hitting his skin was warm and steady, awakening his skin in all the right ways. The shower water comes across as the warmest of the summer rain, and with his eyes closed, he felt naked beneath the wide sky. Hyunjin knows he can't stay engrossed in thoughts as the droplets raced down his skin, tickling him, the noise relieving him even more, but he wished he could spend the rest of the day in that snug cocoon.

But it felt so good, staying under the soothing cascade, as if he was within arms that flow and hug so gently. A knock on his door made him jump in the slightest, his position changing awkwardly as his head turned to the emitter of the sound. It ruined everything he was feeling.

Hyunjin groaned at that, his eyebrows scrunching up in annoyance as his rosy full lips formed a pout out of his mouth.

He grabbed the white towel he brought with him and quickly dried himself up before he tied it against his waist. His rapid silent steps were directed toward the door as he stopped in front of it and opened it with a huff, his posture slumped.
