As he spoke, all the teachers stood at the balcony on each floor of the five-story building, observing us. Vanita, also thirteen, followed with her "X" marking and locating skill, while Tomako, a twelve-year-old, demonstrated her fiery ability. Finally, me, a twelve-year-old with the ability to manipulate air, I created a tornado with my wind manipulation. Shin praised each of our abilities and expressed his admiration for our talents.
After the introductions, our group commenced training with a three-kilometre jog, which we repeated five times. The first round was a breeze, but by the third round, we began to struggle with our breathing. By the fourth round, we were on the verge of giving up. Shin promised us that the last round would be the final exercise of the day if we completed it. With renewed energy, we sprinted through the last round and finished it. We collapsed onto the ground, exhausted. Unbeknownst to us, Shin had tricked us into thinking that the last round was our final exercise. He revealed that there were more exercises to come and allowed us twenty minutes of rest before continuing our training.
Lisa Pole, Lisa Lolen, Yui Song, and Jong Ye Meng were the unfortunate group that had been assigned Trowa Raid, a former soldier, as their teacher. Their training began with a mountain climb, but Trowa was quick to point out their lack of progress. "Are you kidding me? You're not even halfway up yet!" he barked. Lolen spoke up for the group, stating that they had reached the highest point possible. Jong added, "My fingers hurt," to which Pole agreed. Trowa was not sympathetic to their complaints. "I'm not here to coddle you. I'm here to make you strong women. No excuses. Let's keep climbing," he said sternly. The group responded with a resounding "Yes, sir!"
Boasting, Nana Bear exclaimed, 'I must say, I am the luckiest teacher to have such prodigies like you all.' Cosima replied with a wink, 'Madam, you give us too much credit.' After swimming a mile-long lake, Ren asked, 'What's next?' Nana replied, 'We're going to run until sunset.' Akashi and Stelpra were excited, exclaiming, 'We like the sound of that!' Nana Bear encouraged the group, 'Let's not waste another second. It's already an hour past noon. Let's go!' The group cheered in agreement.
