After the culmination of a period of eleven months, all groups have completed all of their training sessions, except for the one pertaining to gravity. The principal, Kaixin, has made an announcement that this will be the final fitness session for the students. However, this most recent training session is unlike any other that the students have ever experienced before. It is expected to be arduous, unpleasant, and excruciating. It seems as though everyone is watching them. "The final exercise that you will perform will involve gravity," Kaixin declared. She further elucidated that the school has arranged for a gravity machine, and certainly, all of the students will be practising under genuine gravity.

The gravity machine is set to remain operational throughout the students' final month in school. They will be required to wear sturdy clothing and weights during their workouts, as the weights have been specifically designed for clothing. "This is simply too much!" exclaimed one student upon hearing the news. The thought of having to wear weights in addition to everything else was overwhelming. Principal Kaixin acknowledged this and stated that it would indeed be a challenging month. "All right, let's get started!" she bellowed. The secretary, Kim, then began the roll call. Ash Canning, Gape Galo, Phoebe Nanao, and Allison Yu were present. Codjoe Conner, Ian Rider, Zen Sinc, and Piandow Akawi were also present. Cosima Kato, Akashi Tengan, Stelphra Lilith, and Megami Ren were in attendance. Lisa Pole, Lisa Lolen, Yui Son, and Jong Ye Meng were also present. Finally, Winfrey Vernor, Vanita De Gratz, Tomako Ichika Yaiba, and Kwame Romero arrived, and the roll call was complete. The students began their training as soon as it was over.

The moment we donned our weighted garments, the sensation of over a thousand pounds pressed down on us. As soon as the gravity reversed, the strain on our bodies was palpable; each step felt like we were sinking deeper into the earth. The teachers seemed unfazed by the gravity machine's effects. "Let's start with some jogging. We'll run back and forth for a mile. Let's go," commanded Principal Kaixin, who was leading the group. Ash expressed doubt, "There's no way we can jog a mile like this." "I know it's difficult, but it's not impossible," I encouraged. All of us, including the teachers, had to endure this training, and they were going to see it through with us. Principal Kaixin retorted, "They're also dressed in heavy clothing." So we began. Each jog required tremendous effort. In this wretched training environment, we sweated, grunted, panted, and gasped for air. The thought of having to keep this up for a month was absurd. I gasped for air and asked, "How are you guys doing?" "I'm so exhausted," Gratz replied. "We all are," Tomako added. "I'm a little tired, too," I said. "A little tired? I'm practically dead here," Kwame complained. We finally finished running a mile, but we still had to run back, and it was already getting dark. Principal Kaixin said we could take a few hours to rest; the school had facilities we could use, and it was vast. While the gravity machine was still active, and we were still wearing our weighted clothing, we had dinner and spent the night there.

Following an arduous night of slumber, Principal Kaixin roused us from our sleep at the ungodly hour of 4:00 am, urging us to prepare for the day's rigorous training regimen. Ash, still feeling the lingering pain of the previous day's training, expressed his discomfort, but Gape offered a glimmer of hope, noting that the body was gradually adjusting to the intense gravitational pressure. As we arrived at the school gym hall, we embarked on a gruelling workout session, performing an astonishing 12,000 repetitions of push-ups, sit-ups, press-ups, pull-ups, squats, bench presses, and other physically demanding exercises. Our diet consisted of copious amounts of milk, eggs, fruits, and meat, providing us with the necessary sustenance to endure the daily training routine. We then progressed to carrying weights, swimming endless laps, and other challenging exercises. Despite the hardship, we persevered, and after a year of this rigorous training, we emerged as physically fit, agile, and swift individuals. The cessation of the gravity machine and the removal of our weighted clothing left us feeling as light as a feather, and we were now capable of moving at supersonic speed. With our first year of training behind us, we were now well-prepared to tackle the challenges of the second year.

Our expectations were abruptly interrupted when Principal Kaixin announced that our first tests would be administered the following week. The letter we received was puzzling, as we had been informed that the examinations would not be administered until the completion of our three-year training program. The principal explained that this was a deliberate ploy to gauge our reaction to unexpected circumstances. Following a three-day respite, during which we busily prepared for the impending test, we assembled at the school's testing facility to receive further instructions.

"We're going on a cruise", Principal Kaixin said.
