Our group's activities today were a little out of the ordinary - parkour. While other groups went hiking, mountain climbing, and to the gym, we began our day with a run followed by ten sets of 100 push-ups, sit-ups, jump rope, pull-ups, squats, and press-ups, as well as 150 dumbbell curls . Having performed this routine for the past three months, our bodies have become accustomed to it, and I can now flex my muscles with ease. Today's training was different, as we encountered elders, soldiers, and people who traverse walls, houses, buildings, and landmarks for a living. It was quite exhilarating, and I wasn't the only one excited about it. Shin led us to a parkour facility, which contained various walls, vacant homes, empty structures, and made-up landscapes for practice.
We witnessed numerous individuals who made parkour look effortless and brilliant. They jumped from landscapes and buildings with ease. Shin explained to us the nature of the parkour task, which is to find the most inventive way to travel from point A to point B.So we had to scale walls, where we had to move from one wall to another without collapsing. Failure to do so would require us to restart from the first wall. Naturally, we fell a few times and had to restart. Gratz was on her way to crossing the finish line when she stumbled and had to restart. However, we were able to complete the race successfully after learning from our mistakes. The next activity was jumping off houses. To jump onto the roofs of the houses, we first jumped off the walls. However, our initial attempts to jump to the next roof were unsuccessful as we bumped into it. There were nine metres between each house, and we had to make adjustments as we leapt from one roof to another to minimise injury. We leapt over twelve homes, but this was just the beginning, as the ground beneath us was artificially softened for safety reasons. The next activity was the real deal, with no safety measures and hard terrain.
Long ago, Sir Trowa's crew successfully scaled the mountain and reached its summit, where they have been camping ever since, even attempting one-handed ascents. Trowa startled them all, and they all decided against giving up at once. They crossed the finish line and finished their workout with Trowa keeping them on their toes. They had no idea it was simply a warm-up. Trowa gave them an hour of refreshments to recover for their next task. It shortly passed, and they continued their next phase of training. They had to move the boulders even further, thirty metres away.
The subsequent phase of our team's training had commenced. To reach the finish line, we were obligated to soar over forty walls, thirty residences, and several towering edifices without any protective measures. The initial ten residences and twenty fences we vaulted over were uneventful; our sole obstacles were the lofty structures we had never before encountered, which we had to circumnavigate. When my comrades witnessed me scaling from balcony to balcony, they emulated my actions. We all ascended to the apex of the first building before leaping to the second, which was significantly taller. And to compound our challenge, the subsequent structure was even more towering, necessitating that we utilise our grip strength rather than simply jumping. Kwame bolted forward towards a building, leaping with full speed while maintaining his resolute expression. The atmosphere was eerily silent as he sprang, and as he gradually approached the skyscraper, time appeared to stand still. He managed to hoist himself up by extending his hand and seizing the pinnacle of the building with a single hand. We all exclaimed in disbelief as he did so, and it seemed as though an immense weight had been lifted from our shoulders. We confidently leaped, grasped the apex of the building, and pulled ourselves up after him; Tomako nearly stumbled but promptly regained her footing. We had approximately eight minutes remaining to soar over thirteen additional structures and seventeen walls.
As we nimbly sprang onto each building and wall, the wind whooshed past our ears. Unbeknownst to us, the final five structures required more effort. The roof of one of the buildings gave way as I made my leap, causing me to plummet and sustain injuries from the debris. Five minutes had elapsed since my mishap, and my comrades assisted me in completing the course while clearing the debris from my arm. Despite my offer to withdraw, I urged them to continue since time was running out. Gratz then draped my arm over her shoulder, and we persevered. The last obstacle was a towering wall that rivalled a building in height, and we had only thirty seconds remaining. With three seconds left, we made our final leap, soaring over the finish line. Upon completing our training, we were overcome with emotion and tears.
