The sound of the fingers typing on a keyboard was the only sound that resonated throughout the room. You were sitting at your desk writing on an chemistry paper that you had to due the next morning. You had just started a few hours ago and you knew that you still had some time before you could finish. The document was supposed to have ten pages and, so far, you had only written four. You still had six pages to fill. At this time, you were seriously regretting having waited until the last minute to start this document.

You had just had so much to do between the work and the management of your other classes that the role of chemistry had taken a back seat. As the expiration date got closer and closer, your anxiety increased as I rushed you to finish the paper. The only thing that made you happy was the fact that at least you had found your sources a few days before. At this point, that was your only positive side. You had a long night. As always.

"Are you still working on that role? It's three in the morning. Come to bed and you can finish it in the morning."

The sound of your girlfriend's voice penetrated the room, disturbing the sound of constant writing. Turning to the bed in the center of the room, a bed that you used to share with your girlfriend, Jenna, you realized that she was sitting, with a sleepy look on her face. You couldn't deny that she looked cute with that expression.

"I can't. It's in the morning. I have to finish this tonight. Did I wake you up? I can go to work in the living room if it bothers you."

Jenna sighed and took off her sheets. Coming down from the bed, she moved to sit on the edge closest to your desk. I still wasn't close enough to touch you, but she was definitely closer than she had been when she was sleeping.

"You're not bothering me. You didn't wake me up either. I turned around and you weren't there. Your side of the bed felt cold and woke me up. I guess I'm used to you being there every time. You didn't sleep at all last night either. Or, the night before. You're going to get sick if you continue like this. You need to sleep Y/N."

You knew that your girlfriend's words made sense. You had taken twenty-minute naps throughout the day, but they were nothing compared to sleeping all night. You knew you desperately needed to sleep. But you couldn't. I got home from work at eight and then you had so much to do at school that you barely had time to sleep. You could say that the lack of sleep was affecting your body, but you pushed it. You had things to do and you had to finish them.

"I'll sleep once I finish this. You should go back to sleep."

You knew it was probably a lie. By the time you finish the paper, it would probably be six in the morning. You may have time for a twenty-minute nap before you have to get up to go to work at half past seven, so you definitely couldn't sleep. After work you would go to your classes and by the time you get home you could have time for another twenty-minute nap before having to get up to complete your homework. Most days you barely felt like you had time to breathe. You were running for coffee.

"Make sure you sleep tonight."

She nodded at her girlfriend's order, however, she knew that it was unlikely to happen. You felt bad because you knew that she was only worried about you, but you really needed to finish this work. Writing your paper again, you saw from the corner of your eye your girlfriend moving back to bed. She looked over her shoulder a few times, but you were completely immersed in your work.
