Ryder sat on top of the lookouts roof. The moon shone down on him, as he just sat there and watched the starry night sky. A year has passed since the battle took place. He sighed and closed his eyes, remembering some things that have happened at the castle. From how they arrived to how they watched the sunset after the battle. The smile on his brothers face when he was finally crowned king of Ash Grove appeared in Ryders mind again. Technically, he could have become king too but that didn't feel right to him. His paw pad buzzed. It was a message from his brother.

Ryder smiled. This was such a bittersweet moment for him. His brother finally found someone to start a family with and he was sitting here, at the top of the lookout. Leading a team was rescue puppies was the main thing he did, though he enjoyed the moments when it was just him and his mistress.  His paw pad buzzed again, this time it was a call from his brother. "Evening Scrios." "Hey Ryder. What are you up to?" "Not much. Right now I am watching the night sky." "Sounds peaceful...." "It is. Wait, did you and Lily just have..." "What?"  "Did you two just have sex?" Ryder whispered. His brother had this undertone in his voice. Ryder knew it all too well, as he sounded like that too, of course only when he and Akira just had some naughty time. "Y-Yeah?" "Knew it. Your voice betrayed you." Ryder and Scrios laughed a little. "Hold up, there is someone here." "Your fiancé?" "No someone else..." Scrios seemed to be in panic when suddenly: "Holy shit, Ryder! I think there is some-" A gunshot was heard. Ryder let the paw pad fall. Could it be that?

"Officer, what is going on here?" "You must be the girl her majesty had been talking about." The officer lead Akira to her best friend, who seemed to completely paralyzed. "Lily? Look at me, what happened?" The black haired succubus tried to get her friend to talk, until a scream let her turn her head around. Ryder was here too. Some officers tried to hold him back, but he broke free and ran into the castle. Akira followed the hybrid boy to Scrios room. There on the ground was the lifeless body of the king. Ryder dropped to his knees and cried. The only person that was left of his family, was dead. But then meant that... Ryders eyes widened as he realized what he would be.
