As Jisung was driving, he handed Minho a piece of paper. Minho took it suspiciously, but he was grateful there was something to distract him from his nerves.
"What's this?" He asked, raising his eyebrow as he skimmed the paper.
"100 questions to ask on the first date" Jisung said with a smile. "Since you were so worried that i didn't know you well enough"
Minho pursed his lips. "These are shallow"
"What does that mean?"
"I'll bore you in five minutes if i answer these" Minho set the paper down and turned his gaze to the window. The sun was setting over the buildings, creating an almost dream-like glow. "Besides, reading fun facts off of a list is a cop-out. You should learn these naturally"
Jisung rolled his eyes, but the same affectionate smile remained on his lips. "Has anyone ever told you that you're difficult?"
"No, you would be the first," Minho replied sarcastically. "I'm actually very pleasant for everyone else, just something about you..."
"Oh? I'm different?" Jisung asked in a teasing tone.
"You have a tendency to twist my words," Minho scoffed. "What i meant was you bring out the worst in me"
"Really?" Jisung hummed. "I really like it, though"
Minho did his best to pretend that the simple compliment didn't make his heart skip a beat. It really wasn't fair that Jisung was able to say the most cheesy lines, ones that Minho would normally roll his eyes at, and make them sound so sweet and genuine.
"Do I at least get to know what you do for work?" Jisung prompted further.
"I'm a dancer," Minho responded.
"Hold on, let me guess" Jisung stopped him. "Something pretentious... ballet?"
Minho glared at Jisung. "You're wrong, and i'm not pretentious"
Jisung tapped his finger against the wheel. "Then what do you do?"
"Hip-hop," Minho said. Dance had been his passion for so long, and he loved all styles, but Hip-hop was certainly his favorite. He taught classes and recently he had been trying to choreograph more complicated routines.
"No way, you're lying" Jisung shook his head in disbelief. "Come on, really. Is it ballroom dancing?"
"I'm serious!" Minho persisted. "Why is that so hard to believe? Hip-hop is a very complicated genre, despite what you may think"
"I just can't imagine it," Jisung responded. "You'll have to show me sometime"
They arrived at the restaurant, and to Minho's surprise it was very nice. He should've known that when it comes to Jisung, you have to expect the unexpected. It was a marvel that he was able to get into a place this nice on such short notice.
As he was still processing where they were, Jisung got out and opened the car door for Minho.
"Ready, jagi?" Jisung asked.
Minho pretended the nickname had no effect, and took Jisung's hand as they walked towards the restaurant. There were lights leading up to the entrance and music playing from unseen speakers. He kept catching glimpses of Jisung's excited face as they got closer, which annoyingly warmed Minho's heart immensely.
The place was absolutely packed, and Minho could tell that it bothered Jisung judging by his grip tightened for a moment. Regardless, Jisung forced them forward.
Jisung seemed to be looking for someone, so Minho attempted to follow his gaze. Across the room a server waved to them and made a beeline towards the pair. The sounds of people behind them trying to argue with the host made Minho feel a little important. The server smiled at Minho.
