Moonlight cascaded shadows which danced on the stone walls, we arrived back at the castle not long after sundown. The common room was rather busy, however, nobody else mattered, me and Ominis were hunting down Theo who luckily enough, was sitting on the sofa, Sophie wrapped around his arm as the other Quidditch players were mindlessly chatting or laughing.

"Ah, my dear sister," He greeted me, he had a fair few to drink. "Care to join us." The fire whiskey reeked off his breath.

I sucked my breath in. "Theo I need to talk to you," I said with urgency. He frowned his eyebrow as he excused himself from the group of people and led me to the side of the room.

"What now?" He asked with a hint of annoyance.

"What do you mean, what now?" I snapped.

"Well every single day you have a new problem, so what is it this time?"

I frowned. "We found a lead to the Sundrop Flower."

"And?"

"Oh please Theo-"

"No Eira, not this close to the match, not a chance are we rushing off, when the match is over, then we can decide our next move." He snapped, betrayal hit my chest like a sledgehammer as I looked at my drunken brother.

"You said you were going to help us!" Ominis' jaw clenched hard as his left hand fist curled into a ball.

Theo glanced passed my shoulder at the group of Quidditch Players, Imelda making her appearance with Evan wrapped around her waist. "I cannot risk it, not this close to the start of the season. Helping Sebastian Sallow is the least of the problems right now, if you want to go ahead with this 'lead' then be my guest, but I cannot be dealing with the mindless adventures, leading to yet again another dead-end and pointless diaries."

"You cannot be serious?" I whispered, my eyes burning as I concealed my rage.

His face dropped as he grabbed my wrist. "If you had some sense Eira, you would drop it. Father has been watching your every move, if you are caught doing anything which could ruin your...Our image, you shall receive his wrath, do you understand that?"

I scoffed. "So we have resorted back to the image issue?"

"I am merely protecting you! Do not change the blame onto me, if you merely did what you was told-"

"What? Be the perfect pureblood daughter so you and father can marry me off to some other pureblood, and have me unhappy for the rest of my days?! Well I am so sorry that I do not wish to meet the same fate as mother!"

His body shook with anger. "Everything I do, is to protect you!"

"No, the only one you are protecting is yourself." Ominis snapped, grabbing my hand as pulling me away from the confrontation. Water began collecting at the bottom lid of my eyes, my lips beginning to tremble slightly, as everything blurred, Ominis leading me down the dampen corridor, a short intake of breathes following my lips as the door opened leading to the vacant dorm.
