SUNNY's eyes quickly flicked open in shock and horror. He got up in cold sweat, and he batted his head around in panic. Where was he?! What was happening?! He was breathing heavily and started to process his surroundings. He was just in his and MARI's bedroom. The crickets loudly chirped outside noisily in the deep hue of the night. He looked outside the window. It was nearly pitch black outside if it weren't for the moon. He stared at the alarm clock on MARI's bedside table, it was 3:28 AM. He held his head in anxiety.

He softened his gaze. It was just a nightmare. All of that, it was just another terrible, vivid dream. He took in a deep breath and wiped the cold sweat off his forehead. He groggily stared at his bedsheets, in slight dismay. On the other side of the room, SUNNY heard the faint rustling of blankets. MARI slowly rose from her bed and wiped her eyes tiredly. She groggily called out to SUNNY.

"SUNNY? Are you awake...?" She said, with one eye slightly open. She then yawned.

"Y-Yeah..." SUNNY muttered quietly. He was still in slight shock from the nightmare, he couldn't help but still feel anxious after such a disturbing dream.

"Oh, dear brother... Did you have another nightmare?" MARI said sorrowfully. SUNNY slowly nodded, until MARI unraveled the blankets, patting down an empty spot for him. She moved her long, silky, black hair aside.

"Here, you can stay with me for the rest of the night, okay? Don't be afraid, your older sister will always protect you..." MARI gently said with a tired smile. SUNNY slid under the covers and hugged his sister in affection. He felt safe. He knew that he could always trust MARI, his beloved sister. He knew that no matter what, she would always protect him... No matter what...

"SUNNY... I love you..."

...

"In today's weather forecast, today's high will be 56 degrees and today's low will be 24 degrees. At around 2 PM we will have sunny weather with clear skies in FARAWAY town, and at 4 PM we will have heavy rain that will last for the rest of the day. Be sure to get out umbrellas and raincoats or you'll get soaked! That's all"

MARI turned off the TV with a loud sigh. She sat up straight in her seat and set down the TELEVISION remote on the table beside the couch. She quickly stretched and yawned, still in her nightgown. She wiped her eyes and neatened her hair before heading back upstairs to freshen up.

She tiredly headed up the staircase, dark eye bags under her eyes. She hadn't slept well that night.

She creaked open the bathroom door and groggily brushed her teeth, trying to desperately wake herself up.

'It's a rainy day today, huh...' MARI thought to herself. She was quite bummed by this because she knew that everybody was going to meet up today. Before leaving, everybody had made plans to hang out today. But for it to be all spoiled by the weather... She moped around as she spat out her toothpaste.

'Well, we better enjoy while we can! Before 4 PM!' She optimistically convinced herself. Full of optimistic energy, she finished brushing her teeth and changed quickly, making sure to not waste too much day. She didn't want a boring, listless day. She wanted to make sure that this day was as fun as possible for all of her friends. It would be another fulfilling day.
