Two Weeks Later

Dazai and Oda were sitting in history class together, talking freely amongst themselves.

The teacher was running late so they had nothing better to do.

"Hey, Dazai? Did you hear about the fair this weekend?"

"Hm? No? This is the first I'm hearing of it."

"Oh, well there's going to be a carnival in town this weekend and I wanted to ask if you want to go with me?"

Dazai's eyes started to sparkl, "Really?!"

Oda giggled at Dazai's excitement, "Yeah. I think it would be fun."

"Me too. I'd love to go with you," he said with a smile."

After class

Dazai jumped onto Oda's back as he was walking out of the classroom, "Ride like the wind Bullseye!" He exclaimed joyfully.

"What are you doing, Dazai?" Oda asked in a confused manner.

"You seriously need to watch more movies, Odasaku."

"What does that have to do with anything?"

The brunette shrugged, "Just start running."

Oda let out a small chuckle. He couldn't help but find the defeated expression on Dazai's face humorous.

He made sure the latter was secured on his back before he took off into the hallways, "I'm guessing you'll be making me watch whatever movie you were referencing?"

"Ss"

"Come again?"

"Movies. Plural," he said with a cheeky grin. "I'll be making you watch all the movies and with me at that."

"Oh boy," Oda giggled.

"There's no getting out of this, Odasaku. You're dunzo."

"You're going to hold me against my will?!" He playfully pretended to dread the endeavor.

"Yep, that's exactly what I'm gonna do," Dazai giggled.

The two boys laughed and giggled the whole way to science class.

Oda didn't actually take science with Dazai, but he'd always walk there with him.

And as usual, Chuuya was standing outside the doorway of the classroom waiting for Dazai.

He heard them laughing and knew they were getting close to the classroom, but when they made it into his line of sight—he could feel his heart sink.

"They're so close.. It's only been two weeks. Why does he always look so happy when he's with him? What about me, Osamu? Don't I make you happy, too? - The way you smile whenever you're together.. and the way you look at him... I've never seen you look at me the way you look at him..," Chuuya stood there drowning in his thoughts as he watched Oda approach with Dazai on his back.

"Hey, Chuuya," Dazai said with a smile as he waved to him.

"Hey, Osamu," he replied quietly.

"Get this, Odasaku has never seen Toy Story! Can you believe that?! The utter audacity," the brunette huffed.

"Really?"

"I'm just not very into film. I prefer books."

Dazai then let our a violent gasp, "THAT'S IT! I WANT TO GET DOWN!"

Oda snickered before bending over to let the other hop off his back.

"You have offended me to infinity and beyond, Odasaku."

Chuuya snickered, "Nice, Osamu," he smiled.

"Thank you, Chuu. Ya see? He gets it. I might not go to the fair this weekend with you anymore," he said with an eye roll.

Chuuya's smile then began to dim, "You.. you two are going to the fair this weekend? Together? But.. we were supposed to have our sleepover this weekend.."

Dazai looked at the ginger like confused puppy. A few seconds passed before he blurted out, "OHH! I TOTALLY FORGOT!"

Chuuya frowned noticeably, "It's fine.. you've always been bad at remembering dates."

"I'm sorry, Chuuya, really. But, I really, really, really want to go."

The ginger put on his best persona and tried to smile, "It's really fine, Osamu. Promise. You two have fun this weekend. We'll have our sleepover another time."

"You sure?"

"Mhm," he 'smiled'.

"You're the best!" He exclaimed as he ran over to Chuuya and wrapped him in a loving hug, "Haa, I love you."

"Mm, love you, too."

Dazai popped his head up and looked at Chuuya with an extremely offended look, "ExCUSE you?"

"What?"

"Where was the 'I'?," the brunette pouted.

"Oh, um- is it really that big a deal? It's just one missing letter."

"Yes it's that big of a deal!!"

Chuuya couldn't help but giggle at how seriously took saying "I love you."

"Okay, okay. I love you, too. Better?"

"Much," he smiled contently before walking through the door into class.

Oda waved to Chuuya and Chuuys waved back with a slight smile before following Dazai into the classroom.
