Oda's Mom had picked the boys up from the fair and took Dazai back home.

When the car stopped on the curb in front of Dazai's house, he hopped out of the car and ran up onto his porch, holding all the prizes he had gotten. "Thanks for the fun day, Odasaku! See you Monday!"

"Mhm. It was my pleasure. Now, go make your move, lover boy," Oda waved with a teasing smile before his Mom drove off.

He nodded as he watched the car get farther and farther away, "Will do."

He opened the door and headed inside, "I'm home!"

His Dad peeked his head out from the kitchen, "How was your date, Osamu?" He asked with a playful smirk on his face.

"It wasn't a date, Dad," Dazai replied unamused. "I was just out with a friend. That's all."

"We both know Chuuya's not just a friend, son."

A blush made it's way across Dazai's cheeks, "Dad! I wasn't even with Chuuya!!"

"Oh- you weren't?"

"No."

"Then who were you with?"

His Mom then made her way into the front of the house and chimed in, "He was with a new friend he made at school, dear."

"Huh- you made a friend??"

"Kinda hurtful, Dad."

"You can't really blame him, though, Osamu. Your only friend has been Chuuya for years."

"How did you know who he was with and I didn't?"

"He told me yesterday before he asked to go to Chuuya's."

"Why didn't you tell me, Osamu?!"

"It was on a need to know basis."

"And I didn't need to know??"

"Nope."

"Alright you two, settle down. - How was the fair, honey?"

"Awesome! I got a bunch of prizes and I even got something for Chuuya," he smiled as he held up the puppy plushie. "Can I go to his house and give it to him?"

"Aw, that's so thoughtful," his Mom commented. "Of course you can."

Dazai smiled brightly, "Okay! Thanks, Mom!"

He quickly ran his stuff to his room, then ran out the door with the plushie and made his way down the street to Chuuya's.
