Landry could feel her stomach in her throat as she touched her neck where the necklace once lay, after the announcement of her betrothal she was dismissed and allowed to go to her chambers.
She was finally allowed to break down, not only was her attraction towards Rhaenyra growing but the one time she was given something from her princess it was ripped away from her, and soon her rights would be ripped away as her father would be getting his wish for Landry to be wedded to someone of his choosing.
Landry watched as a teardrop dripped onto her lap, she didn't bother to wipe it away or to try and stifle the sobs that came jumping out of her mouth. She was too distracted to hear the knock at the door followed by the opening of the door, it wasn't until she saw a glimpse of some fabric moving out of the corner of her eye that she looked up.
"Princess, I apologize for not greeting you." Landry wiped her tears quickly once she saw it was the Princess, Rhaenyra crinkled her nose before waving the guards to shut the door behind her as she took a step into Landry's chambers. "Don't apologize, whatever is the matter?" Rhaenyra asked taking a step closer to the girl.
Landry pressed her lips together as she sat back down on the bench she was previously on, she planned to tell the Princess a lie but she wasn't too sure what to say. "And don't lie, please. I can tell." Rhaenyra says with a slight smile as she walks forward and takes a seat next to Landry.
"I-" Landry stutters before looking towards Rhaenyra, something in Landry melted away and she started to speak the truth. "Father wants me to be wed, he already has a match picked out. The man is twice my age Rhaenyra!" Landry exclaimed before she realized what she said. "I apologize my Princess."
"Oh, Landry." Rhaenyra frowned before using the tip of her finger to lift Landry's chin, with how close they were Landry could feel Rhaenyra's breath on her face, the ghost of her lips against Landry's. Until they weren't ghosts at all.
Landry moaned as Rhaenyra's tongue slipped into her mouth, she could feel Rhaenyra's hands slowly touch her stomach and back as the blonde Princess brought her closer. When Rhaenyra pulled back Landry had to resist crying out in protest. "I apologize, I shouldn't have taken advantage of you like that." Rhaenyra almost looked ashamed at her actions, something that was unusual for the confident Princess.
"It's okay, I enjoyed it. I enjoy anything that you do, I don't want to marry. I fear that I would spend my days locked in a castle to spend the rest of my days made to spit out heirs for the rest of my life." Landry admitted something about Rhaenyra gave Landry the confidence and trust to admit her darkest feelings and worries. Something her Father would be ashamed to know if he ever found out.
Rhaenyra pressed her lips together as she tucked a strand of Landry's hair behind her ear. "Do you mind telling me who is the man Otto has picked out?" Rhaenyra asked softly as she took Landry's hand and started to draw soft circles on her palm.
"Erwin Lannister, I don't know much about him other than he's older than me. I don't think he has kids, I hope he doesn't. I hope he doesn't want me to have kids." Landry started to curl in on herself to make her appear small. "Is there any way to prevent this? Maybe I can make a plea that you are needed here and not in Casterly Rock."
It was sweet Landry thought, Rhaenyra wanted Landry to stay at her side. "You can't, I have a duty. Just like you have a duty to the King and the Iron Throne, I can only hope that Ser Lannister will treat me with kindness." Landry was sad for her future but she knew that it could always be worse and she was lucky to even be able to have a husband at all with such a powerful title, even if it was for Otto's political gain.
Rhaenyra sighed, Landry watched as her eyes drifted toward her neck and her eyebrows rose in surprise. "Where's your necklace I gave you?" Landry thought about lying but she knew that she couldn't lie to Rhaenyra, the Princess didn't deserve that. "Father threw in the fire when he saw it around my neck, I tried to stop him but he didn't listen." Rhaenyra's nose flared in anger, but her eyes softened as she saw the look on Landry's face.
"I can give you something else if you'd like." Rhaenyra offered quickly, Landry shook her head in decline. "Father will just throw it in the fire like he did the necklace if he ever found out, but I appreciate the sentiment." Landry looked down to see that while they had been talking a Rhaenyra had grasped Landry's covered leg.
"For you, I would give you everything." Rhaenyra pressed her lips against Landry's cheek. Landry was going to respond but there was a knock at the door, the two of them separated quickly and looked up just in time to see Alicent walk through the door. "Princess, I've been instructed to get you ready for the tournament. Landry, you should get dressed too." Alicent remains tight-lipped as she studies the two girls.
Landry felt ashamed like she'd been caught even though Alicent couldn't have known what the two of them were doing, nonetheless, she bowed her head and started to walk towards her armoire to pick out a dress for the occasion. "I'll see you at the tournament Landry," Rhaenyra stated as she stood up watching Landry, Landry pressed her lips together and ignored Rhaenyra. She was facing away from the two girls so she couldn't see the frown on Rhaenyra's lips as she looked at Alicent in concern.
