As the older sister to Eri, Tsuyoka promises to always protect her sister but will she be able to keep her promise when their world falls into darkness?

12:00 AM - Hospital
"-uyo... Tsuyo... Tsuyo wake up." My dad nudges me awake as I lay curled up in the waiting room in an uncomfortable chair.
"Hm?" 8 year old me mumbles only partly waking up.
"Do you want to meet your sister? She's finally here." This jolts me awake. Excitement to finally meet my new baby sister taking over as I jump out of the chair. He chuckles as I pull his hand in a hurry to get to my mother's recovery room "Slow down Tsuyo, they aren't going anywhere sweetie" I look back at my dad who's taking his sweet time walking to the room and smile.
"I know, but I've waited so long! I want to meet her already! I bet she's cute! Maybe she'll look like me too! We can be twins then!" I jump excitedly.
After what feels like an eternity we make it to my mother's room and my father softly knocks on the door as he opens it.
"Honey?" he calls quietly so as to not wake the baby. "I'm back with Tsuyoka, she's really excited to meet her sister." He smiles at his wife and releases my hand letting me approach my mom who holds my little sister in her arms.
"Come here sweetie." She smiles and gestures for me to come closer. "Be quiet though she's trying to sleep okay?" I nod and as quietly as I can, I walk over and crawl up onto the bed next to her. Trying to get a glimpse at the tiny child snuggled in my mother's arms, I lean in closer. She moves the baby towards me so I can see and my eyes light up. *She's so cute!* I think as I get my first look at my new sister. "Tsuyo meet your baby sister, Eri." Mom says in a hushed tone.
"Eri.." I whisper mostly to myself and a huge smile grows on my face. My heart fills with joy as I look at her peaceful resting face. "Hi Eri, I'm Tsuyoka, but you can call me sissy." I giggle. "I can't wait for you to come home with us. We'll play together and I have so many things I want to show you too! Oh and I'll have to show you my quirk as well! It's not real strong yet but I'll make it stronger someday. And when you get a quirk we can practice together! It'll be so much fun!" My mother laughs beside me as she watches me ramble to my sister. After a few moments she speaks up.
"Would you like to hold her Tsuyo?" She asks me. My eyes light up even more if possible.
"Can I?!" I ask a little too loudly, causing Eri to stir a bit.
"Shh." my mother shushes me gently. "We gotta be quiet, remember? Here hold out your hands like this and I'll place her in your arms for you." My mother smiles sweetly at me as I hold my hands out like she showed me and places Eri in my arms. I look down at her small round face as she sleeps content in my arms.
"I love you little sister." I whisper to her and just then her little eyes open. She looks up at me with beautiful red eyes the same as mine. As our eyes meet, time seems to stop. *She's smiling at me!* I squeal in my head. "Mommy…" I can't help the tears that spring to my eyes as I'm overwhelmed with joy. "Mommy, look she's smiling at me!" I hear my parents laugh as they watch the scene before them.
