We pull up to a huge house and my grandfather parks the car in the driveway. *Woooow! I've never been to grandpa's house before! It's so big!* admiring the house, I see the beautiful garden design. At the entrance there's a pond to the left of the front door, tall trees, trimmed skillfully, a stone walkway that was designed to look like big rocks, and several small bushes along the walkway. All of which was lit up in the dark of the night by soft glowing lamps. *The garden is so pretty too! I bet it'll look even better in the morning.*"Tsuyoka." Grandpa calls, snapping me out of my thoughts. Turning my head, I look at him.
"Hm?" I ask
"Wanna grab your bags from the back while I get your sister?"
"Oh! Sure." Putting a hold on my scanning of the garden, I hop out of the passenger seat and stretch my legs a bit then grab our stuff from the trunk. I walk around to Eri's side of the car where Grandpa is holding the sleeping girl in his arms. *She must be exhausted after today.* I think as my own Exhaustion sets in and I yawn.
"You must be tired too after everything that's happened today. C'mon let's get you kids settled into a room for the night." I don't respond, just follow along behind him. He leads me through the front door, the house quiet and dimly lit, no signs of anyone else as we walk down a long, narrow hallway.
"I'll have rooms made up specifically for you kids tomorrow, but tonight you can stay in the guest room. It's close to the kitchen so you should be able to find it when you get up in the morning and there's a bathroom attached to the room." He opens a bedroom door ushering me in with a nod of his head. Walking into the room l look around. There's a big bed centered up against a wall on the left side of the room with what appears to be a closet door in the corner next to it. The bed covers were white and plain and thin white curtains hung over a big window that overlooked the garden out front allowing the moonlight to fill the room. The other side of the room had a small, simple desk and chair and another door that led to the bathroom. *That bed is huge! I bet it could fit four or more people in it! I hope it's as comfy as it looks.*
"Well go on, make yourself comfortable." Grandpa urges. I walk over to the bed dropping the bags and flopping down. My grandfather stood at the door still holding Eri as he watched me with a soft expression on his face. Sitting up suddenly, a thought hits me *Is he gonna put Eri somewhere else? What if she needs me and can't find me though?*
"um.." I start but trail off
"What is it Tsuyoka?" Grandpa prods.
"Would it be okay if Eri stays here with me?" He smiles understandably.
"Of course." Grandpa walks into the room towards the other side of the bed from me. I pull back the covers and he lays Eri down into the bed. She doesn't even hardly budge from her sleep as her body gently lands on the soft mattress.*She's really out of it.* I smile sadly to myself *At least she seems to be sleeping peacefully.* I look up to find grandpa already back at the door.
