Two weeks later
We made it to the base within a hour. Within the time I was able to calm myself and stop the contractions from happening. The doctor thinks it was because of stress from the events and seeing Nathan. I had made it to seven months and was closer to safely delivering my twins.
Good news, I was in a safer place with people I trusted, bad news, I was on bed rest until I could deliver which means I couldn't search for Little Creek, but I at least had Nathan to help me along with Annie! Who happened to join us yesterday! I couldn't be happier that she was safe and sound. When we ate supper that night, she finally revealed to me it was all planned out and they only lied to me so I could play the part right. Edmond was unpredictable though, no one seen him coming this early, but I was glad he did, we were able to take care of him there, so I never had to worry about him again.
The only person who was still on my mind was my father.
Even though I was away from him, I somehow knew we were far from finished and I would be seeing him soon. The thought of him coming to take me away again always frightened me.
I sat in a rocking chair humming a lullaby to my sweet babies...Only a month until these sweet babies could come into the world...

"La la lu, la la lu''
"Oh, my little star sweeper"
As i began to sing I felt a kick up against my hand that was rubbing the right side of my belly.
"I'll sweep the stardust for you"
I smiled rocking back and forth just singing and rubbing my tummy slowly.
"La la lu, la la lu''
"Little soft, fluffy sleeper"
''Here comes a pink cloud for you"
This time I felt another kick on my left side just a little bit lower. They were super active today....
"La la lu, la la lu"
"Little wandering angel fold up your wings"
"Close your eyes''
I looked at the cute stuffed bear Nathan gave me that sat on the shelf and just imagined my baby holding it tightly in their little arms.
"La la lu, la la lu"
"And may love be your keeper"
I grinned even more as I tried to picture what they would look like...little images of Little Creek and me dancing in my head...
"La la lu, la la lu, la la lu"
I grinned rubbing my stomach as everything went still and was peaceful for once in my crazy life...
Then, the door slowly opens and I see Nathan with a smile. "Nathan, what do I owe the pleasure of seeing you this early?" Slowly he walks into the room taking his hat off grinning. "I have a special guest here for you. It took me two weeks to find them but I did it..." He looked at the door and I felt my nails digging into the hardwood as I stared at the door hoping it was the person I thought it was...
