Aaliyahs POV
I woke up late to the smell of eggs and bacon enticing me to get out of the bed. I tolled over to find his side of the bed empty. I saw my clothes that were neatly folded, lying on the floor in a small mess. I grabbed the tshirt he loaned me and the sweats, throwing them on as quickly as I could. I walked down the hallway and noticed him standing in the kitchen. I heard the crackle of frying bacon and eggs and the wonderful smell of a fresh pot of coffee.
"Good morning." I said as I grabbed the mug he had set out for me and filled it with the coffee.
"Good morning gorgeous. You sleep well?" He asked as he kissed my head.
"Yeah. Didn't get enough it feels." I joked as I sipped my coffee and watched him cook.
"I understand that one." He replied as he grabbed plates. I plopped the food down on them before handing me mine and setting a fork on it.
"Thank you." I said as I followed him to the dining room table. We ate our meal in silence before I began to hear my phone ring. I got up from the table and searched for it on the coffee table in the living room.
"Fuck me. Already." I said aloud before answering it.
Hey Cheryl
Aaliyah this house needs to be packed up by Saturday of this week. Its already been bought and they want in here as soon as possible. I see you ain't done nothing yet.
The fuck are you doing in my house? Get out! It'll be packed by then. Don't worry about it. Don't forget you're on camera as well. I want my percentage from it. I built the stables, fencing, and everything on that goddamn property. I want my $40,000 or you'll be hearing from my lawyer. Just leave the house. It'll be packed by Saturday.
It better be. You'll get your cut don't worry. Its only $40,000 out of $500,000.
Bye. I said as I immediately hung up the phone. I could feel my body get hot with anger, my hands shake from anxiety, and my eyes well up from sadness and anger.
"Aaliyah are you okay?" Ryan asked from behind me.
"Yeah I'm fine. I just have less time than I thought to get packed up and I have to leave first thing in the morning. My whole break was cut a full day short. On top of that I'm out so much hard work that I can't just bring with me. Stables galore, pastures, so much of my shit is being taken from me and she don't even care. Why is it so easy for her to take it from me. Fuck the money. Its the memories. I grew up in that house and she just wants it gone for fucking drugs. God sometimes I wish she would-" I stopped before I took it to far. I watched as Ryan walked up to me and gave me a hug. I just leaned into his chest and laid my head there for a moment as he held me tight.
"Well we have tonight before we gotta get packed up and everything. You have a place to stay. I can get some stalls built up for you. We can do this." He said as he gave me a smile of hope.
"Yeah but I just lost my entire income and all of my clients." I replied.
"We can rebuild your clientele. It'll take time but we can do this. I'll get ahold of some buddies of mine and I'll get you some stalls built up and we can get some pastures set up around here. How many horses do you own personally?" He asked.
