In a forest in the middle of nowhere, there stood a group of five, waiting for something. "We're just sayin'...," began Nora, "there's more members of JNPR in this team than RWBY. It just makes sense to go with that one."
"But "junior" isn't a color," rebutted Ren
"How can I be more clear?"
"Yeah, come on, man! This should not be hard to understand!" shouted Grif. "One, two, three! That's more than one!" He added, pointing at Nora, Ren, and Jaune who was crouched down and looking at something.
"For the sake of argument, I'll exclude us, Grif. But we're helping Ruby with her objective," argued Simmons, siding with Ren. "Wouldn't that make her the leader and therefore, called RNJR?"
"Guys! We need to focus," shouted Jaune, serious. "Also, JNRR is way cooler."
"Exactly!" exclaimed Nora.
"Boom!" shouted Grif.
Simmons sighed as Ren goes to speak, but instead just groans. "This is nice," said Nora. "Just standing here and talking, doing nothing..."
"Yep, just summed up most of my life in Blood Gulch!" agreed Grif, throwing his arms behind his head.
"Really?" asked Ren
"Oh, yeah, me and Grif used to just stand atop of our base on guard, talking as we scoured the area," added Simmons. "But eventually, something comes along and pulls us into some exciting, crazy, dangerous event!" A rumble suddenly followed, shaking everyone, making the leaves around them fall and birds fly out of the trees."... Like that."
"It's here," Jaune said ominously.
"Are you sure?!" asked Grif, not wanting to put effort. "It could be just a small earthquake!"
"FFFFUCCCKKK! SHIT! SHIT!" A voice was heard, spouting profanity from afar.
"... Or not," said Grif in defeat.
Somewhere else, a burst of red and blue rose petals shot out of a bundle of trees before passing the cliff's edge and quickly forming into Ruby and Church, both shooting behind them as they fell. Heavy steps and snapping were heard before a Grimm, made out of a collection of boulders forming its body, swept the trees away, giving chase to the duo as it fell with them.
"Bad... landing... strategy!/ Shit!... Fuck!... Crap!" Ruby and Church crashed through multiple tree branches before both landing on big strong ones, Ruby on her feet and Church with his chest.
They look up to see the Grimm and saw it raise a boulder which resembled an arm. At this, Ruby flew away using her Petal burst as Church rolled off his branch, falling to the ground before the crowns of the trees around the Grimm were smacked clean off.
Ruby lands on her feet on a big tree branch strong enough to hold her weight. She uses her Semblance to fly past the Grimm. Church got up and held out Epsilon, taking sights of the situation. It was funny to him. It reminded him of when he was first shooting a gun at birds with his—
"Fuck, no!" Suddenly, he started flashing, illuminated flocks of flying transparent duck flew around the Grim, distracting it as a familiar figure slowly came into existence.
Ruby landed next to him. "Thanks!" She said before noticing, grabbing his head, wincing in pain. "Are you—?"
"I'm FINE!" Church let go of his head and at once, his memories disappeared, leaving the golem standing and immediately gave chase. "Oh crap!" He and Ruby quickly rolled away from the boulder arm, cleaving through the trees.
