Substitute | Hogwarts

Prologue

"Thank you very much, Professor Umbridge, that was most illuminating," Dumbledore said, bowing to her after Umbridge's unwarranted speech. "Now — as I was saying, Quidditch tryouts will be held . . ." 

BANG!

"What in Merlin's name-?" Professor McGonagall asked, rhetorically as she watched Professor Dumbledore holding a red letter before the phoenix stand in front of the Hogwarts students. Suddenly from all sides, golden portals shimmered as men, women and teenagers stumbled into the Great Hall. 

"James? Lily?" Two masculine voices called out to a messy raven hair and redheaded couple. Harry's head shot up as he looked at the couple in question.

"Sirius? Remus?" The couple replied in shock as they ran up to the duo. Harry too stood up and ran towards the group, hugging his parents for the first time in almost 14 years.

"Edgar?" A feminine voice called out as she stared at her brother.

"Amelia!" The man in question ran up to his little sister, cradling her in his arms.

"Pandora?"/"Mum?" Two white-haired figures asked as a young woman walked towards them.

"Xenophilius? Luna?" Suddenly the reuniting families were silenced by a loud whistle from the three final men standing near the back of the crowd. The three figures stood tall, their heads held high as they looked in veiled annoyance at many of the reunions before them.

"Can someone please explain what we are doing here?" The shortest of the trio asked loudly. The trio was a very familiar trio to those from the so-called Marauder era. They were Regulus Black, the shortest of the trio, Evan Rosier and Barty Crouch Junior, the tallest. Suddenly the red letter before Dumbledore ripped itself open and began to speak aloud,

"We have gathered you all here today, from the past and present, to show you the life of Magic's Chosen One and the Founders' heir. Be warned. This is not going to be a pleasant ride for a lot of you."
