"What were you doing in the backroom with that guy?" A strident voice sounded, which made Chayoung jump from the shock until she saw her co-worker.
"Fuck, Iseul," The girl breathed, holding her hand over her heart in an attempt to calming down its rapid pace, "I thought I told you to stop scaring me!"
"Notice how I only scare you when you're doing something you're not supposed to?" The blonde girl responded cooly, resting her shoulder against the cold brick wall.
"What, I didn't drink today." Chayoung explained, not entirely sure what the girl in front of her was talking about.
And also really confused of what she was doing out here. Chayoung just finished her shift and left through the staff entrance. As far as she knew, Iseul's shift wasn't over yet. She shouldn't be out here.
"Do I really need to repeat my question?" Iseul chuckled. Chayoung didn't need to reply in order for Iseul to understand the answer, "I saw you leaving the backroom today with a guy, who I'm pretty sure does not work here."
Oh fuck, Chayoung thought as her eyes widened slightly.
"Don't look so frightened. I'm no snitch, you know that." Iseul said, standing up and walking towards her co-worker.
The blonde girl was in fact no snitch. She wasn't bothered enough to do that. Actually, she couldn't care less if Chayoung worked at the strip club or not — though she had to admit that Chayoung was a fun co-worker.
The girl was simply just very curious.
"Chayoung?"
"Fine, we were fucking." The girl breathed out in an annoyed sigh.
"Oh. I thought some deal with drugs maybe, but just that?" Iseul, strangely, looked disappointed.
Chayoung wrinkled her brows at her reaction before nodding hesitantly to her question. There were drug dealers at her strip club?
"Not that I've bought drugs or anything, for your information, before you make up any assumptions... I just wondered." Iseul spoke almost as if she defended herself. Chayoung hadn't even responded yet.
"Do you take money for it?" Iseul asked another question.
Maybe she was on a break from her shift and was bored. Maybe that was why she was so talkative suddenly.
"Yeah." Chayoung nodded and let out a deep breath afterwards. At least she knew Iseul was not one to judge, so she didn't feel embarrassed telling her.
She was rather worried.
She didn't like that her co-worker knew about her selling sex at their work place. It made her feel unsettled. Iseul seemed like a nice girl but also one to be a real bitch if necessary. Ultimately, they weren't friends and they never spoke about personal things so... would she tell?
"Was it good sex at least?"
Chayoung squinted her eyes at the girl, but let go of her inner desire to slap her harsh on the cheek. Iseul didn't know that Chayoung didn't do it to be able to buy the latest collection of Calvin Klein's new underwear. She didn't know Chayoung only did it for mere pennies that would help pay off her student loan. It wouldn't be fair to slap her when she didn't know.
Instead, Chayoung just shrugged and mumbled an 'I guess so' before she turned around and left.
