Chapter 10

In the underground lab, Fred, Velma, Daphne, Serena, Ash, and Pikachu came running through the exploded Monster Hive door.

"I don't see Shaggy and Scooby anywhere!" Fred comments

"Poor guys are probably running around helpless and terrified!" Serena added

Just then, an elevator came down and they looked over, seeing Shaggy and Scooby covered in mozzarella cheese and Scooby burped, Shaggy holding the control panel.

"This is, like, the greatest day of our lives, Scoob." Shaggy said as the two got off the elevator. "Finally, a monster we can sink out teeth into."

Scooby nodded in agreement.

"You know, Scoob,, i'm kinda thirsty I wonder if there's a liter sized soda glob anywhere." Shaggy comments jokingly, getting a chuckle from Scooby

Fred ran over and grabbed the control panel as he said, "Come on, guys, we have to hurry."

They then ran into the Monster Hive as Jaune and Scooby brushed off the cheese that they had on them.

"We have to get this control panel back before-" Fred starts

From something they see, they all stop dead in their tracks. Right in front of them was The Skeleton Men, whom all three of were tangled into a ball, The Coalossal Creep, Pidgeystein, and the ice demon

"-before exactly THAT happens." Fred finished

Just then, The Evil Masked Figure walked out onto the metal gangplank in front of them that was a few feet above the ground.

"At last I have you, Mystery Inc." The Evil Masked Figure taunts. "You'll never make it past my monsters."

Ash had PIkachu ready and Serena pulled out a Pokeball but the ice demon cackled, shooting ice out of it's hands. Pikachu was frozen up to his chin, but still alive, and Ash and Serena were frozen up to their shoulders, with their clothes keeping them warm.

"Shit!" Ash comments

"Well, we've dealt with these jerks before, let's do it again..." Daphne comments

Fred runs forward but gets stuck as tar slowly wraps around him from the feet up.

"Fred!!" Daphne calls out

"It's not them you need to worry about!" The Evil Masked Figure taunts while laughing

"Now you are stuck in my trap." The Tar Monster spoke

"Daphne!!" Fred yells before tossing the control panel

Daphne jumped forward and caught the panel. The moment she was back on her feet, though, The Tar Monster rose up behind her and picked her up.

"Gotcha!" The Tar Monster taunts

Daphne looks around and tosses the panel and says, "Catch it, Velma!!"

Velma jumped to catch it but sneezed when she hit the ground, tar slowly wrapping around her.

"Shaggy! Here!!!" Velma says before tossing the panel to Shaggy

Shaggy fumbles around but drops the panel and it hit the ground. However, before The Tar Monster could get it, Shaggy picked up the panel again and was slowly backing up against some metal canisters, doing everything he can to keep the panel away from the tar.

Scooby was cowering as he backed up in a corner, scared for his friends as the tar slowly wraps around Shaggy.

"Soon, your friends will be dead, and Coolsville destroyed." The Evil Masked Figure taunts. "My revenge will be final, and there's NOTHING YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT!!"
