"Charlie. Charlie," I felt someone shaking my shoulder gently.
"What?" I groaned.
"Sweetie, you have to get up," I identified the sweet voice as my mother's, "school's in an hour and you still need to take Bella for her walk."
I lifted my head from where it sat nestled in the crook of my arms. Groggily, I rubbed my eyes with my thumb and index finger before looking at my mother who I didn't even know was home. I didn't bother to address her sudden presence, her sporadic showings were normal to Molly and me.
I sighed, "Yeah, I'll do that. Thanks, mom."
"For what?"
"Everything."
My mother gave a slight smile, "You fell asleep at the computer again," she stated.
"Yeah," I said glancing at the computer in front of me, "I did."
"Sweet heart, I don't know why you do this, putting so many things on your schedule, helping people, it's not worth it if you don't put yourself on your schedule. I know you like helping people and the community but it's okay to take a break and focus on yourself."
"I know that mom, I do, but you know that Sammy really needed the help. I would just feel so guilty if I hadn't helped him."
Sammy was an eleven year old boy who lives in Russia that I met when I went on a school trip there. He's not the best student but he's a bright kid, and I just want to help him shine. The time difference makes it hard and stressful for us to set up a time and study. The fact that we can only do it over the computer also adds to the stress, but we make it work.
My mother let out a sigh, "Okay, just promise me you'll get a good nights sleep tonight," she paused and gave me a scrutinizing stare, "In your bed."
"Okay I will," I said standing up and giving her a kiss on the cheek, "I'm going to go walk, Bella. Have a great day, love you," I said as I left my room.
"Aren't you forgetting something?" I heard her call after me.
"Yeah, I know, I'll change after I take Bella on her walk," I called back as I bounded down the stairs.
"Okay, sweetie, I love you."
"I know, I love you too," I grabbed Bella's leash from the hook by the front door,"Bella!" I called, "Walk time!" I smiled to my self as I heard her nails clicking on the tile floor as she ran to me.
Wagging her tail, she jumped on me, and I slipped the leash onto her collar, "Who's a good girl? Come on, come on!" I said in a baby voice as I opened the door and ran out with Bella following closely behind me.

A shower, change of clothes, breakfast and forty-five minutes later, I was on my way to school.
"So, how'd it go with Dylan?" I asked quickly glancing at Molly.
I heard her sigh, "Not so good, he didn't even comment on my makeup, he just stared at me for a second and then went back to writing his notes."
Hm. "Okay, when he was writing his notes, was he writing it normally, or...furiously?"
"What? I don't know, furiously I guess.
I smile started to creep up on my face, "And was his leg shaking by any chance?"
"Yeah, actually, it was, and I only remember this because it was so freaking annoying," My smile was full on ear to ear by now, "How did you know that?"
