Heal

Did you heal?
Did you rebuild yourself?
On top of the pieces you dismembered of me,
Did you finally settle down?
After ripping our paintings to shreds?
Tell me?
Did you heal?
After breaking a heart that once beat for you?
Did you cover up our memories?
Did you tell her she saved you?
Did you sell her your tragedies?
I'd hate to believe that I was only just your type?
But I see myself in her,
Just a ploy in your wicked games.
Did you read the words I wrote you?
When she fights with you?
Did you build your foundation with her,
From the rocks you threw at me?
Did you pave the footing with her,
From the stories I wrote to you?
Did you water the lawn,
With the tears I wept to you?
Did you play the songs,
Made from my cries?
My weeps,
That bleed through that house,
That I made for myself,
That I made with my heart, my soul, my love.
Did you even think of me?
When you see the places we frequented?
When she sits where I once had?
When She comforts you the way I once had?
Or did you forget about me?
Another conquest, and failed attempt,
The looks of downcast,
As you ripped me apart at seems,
All to make your empire bigger.
Did you forget?
The misery on my features,
When you smeared my name,
The name you saw me fight for,
Did you forget?
When you shamed my being?
Did you think about me?
When you did everything for her,
That I once begged you for?
Tell me, did you heal?
Because people leave people everyday,
But you decided to destroy me...
All to make yourself feel better.
So tell me,
Did it heal you,
When you broke me.
Did you heal from the carnage?
Or do you still live in that place?
That I left you in.
