Do You...?
December 25th, 2021
Do you remember how it felt,
When you used to sit on the ground with me,
When I'd protect you from Everyone,
No matter what they thought of me,
When I'd defend your honor like my own,
Do you remember it?
Do you remember when you believed you loved me?
Do you tell her what you told me?
Does she tell you that it's okay to stand up to your father?
Does she squeeze your hand during dinner, To remind you, you're not alone?
Does she hold you and tell you, what your father had done to you, wasn't your fault?
Does she hold you, and kiss your head the way I did?
Does she take the bottle out of your hand, when you've obviously had enough?
Does she hold you while you cry over your family?
Over the loss of people you once loved...
Does she...?
Do you remember?
How it felt...
When you Begged for the truth?
When you blocked me out, and refused to let me see my baby?
Do you remember how it felt,
When you packed up all my things, to move in your new girlfriend?
Do you remember when you told everyone, I moved on too fast?
Do you remember, not telling them, you moved her in, before I had even moved out?
Do you remember, how it felt,
When you took credit for my accomplishments,
Do you remember how it felt, To watch me Sob?
Do you remember, when I begged on my knees to not take her?
Do you remember, when I begged for only a few more seconds with her?
Do you remember how it felt, when I pleaded to you, asking you why you'd do this?
Do you...?
Do you Remember it?
When you look me in the eyes?
Do you remember when you condemned me?
Do you remember what you said?
"Because you made me look like the bad Guy on Facebook..."
Do you Remember it...?
Because I can never forget it....
