"Kimiko! Control that little beast!"

Shinobu was practically screaming her head off at the blonde-haired child as she hurriedly dodged out of the excited cat's way. Said red-eyed girl tilted her head to the side ever-so-slightly before crouching down and making a series of quick taps on the wooden ground.

Like he understood her, the white tom instantly turned from chasing Shinobu to darting into Kimiko's waiting arms, purring and nuzzling his head into her stomach.

It took Kanae and Shinobu almost five seconds to realize that what the girl just rapped out on the ground wasn't just random tapping.

It was Morse Code.

Something that she managed to teach the cat to understand and obey her commands.

"Kimiko?" Kanae asked warily. Kanao was in the garden picking fruit with Aoi, so it was just the two Kocho Sisters and the blonde girl in the room, "How do you know Morse Code?"

Hearing her, the indecisive girl glanced up with her usual emotionless expression before letting her new pet lie on her lap, drawing out her coin and flipping it with ease that came from daily practise using it. Looking at the results, Kimiko spoke.

"Games."

"So how did you get Junichi to understand and obey the Code?" Yep, that was what Kimiko had named her cat: Junichi. It had been a difficult decision that'd taken up a whole day due to Aoi, Kanae and Shinobu all coming up with more and more ideas, which made it even harder for poor Kimiko to make a decision.

In the end, they settled for Junichi.

Pure one. For Junichi's completely white coat. Simple and easy to pronounce.

Kimiko stared down at her coin once more, "He is very smart."

"That's not-" Shinobu began hotly, before yelping in terror once more as Junichi rolled off Kimiko's lap, landing on the ground before arching his back and hissing at Shinobu. For some reason none of they understood, the blue-eyed tom seemed to hold a particular grudge against the younger Kocho.

"Junichi is a very smart cat." Kimiko repeated, and the cat actually looked as though he understood what she was saying, placing his front paws on her knee.

Shinobu could've thrown Junichi out as the second-in-command of the Butterfly Mansion and the tsuguko of the Flower Hashira, but she didn't.

The reason?

Simple. After Junichi officially became part of Kimiko's life, the girl talked a tad bit more.

Shinobu just didn't have the heart to hurt the girl.
