Ao'nung and the sully family were impatiently waiting for news of Lo'ak being found, Ao'nung was biting his nails and pacing around the room while Neytiri and Jake comforted their children.
All six of them immediately turned their attention to Ao'nung's father, tonowari, who had made his way into the Marui.
"Your son has been found, but his barely alive." Tonwari softly explained, Ao'nung could hear cries behind him as Jake comforted his distressed wife.
He felt a hand on his shoulder "Ao'nung..." Neteyam softly called out, his teary-eyed face giving him a reassuring smile "he was found, if your mother was able to save Kiri from a seizure she'll be able to help Lo'ak." Neteyam reassured him, and that's when Ao'nung broke down.
He had been keeping all the tears and screams to himself this entire time as to be strong-hearted for the sully's but just knowing Lo'ak was found finally set a form of relief over him.
He cried as Neteyam comforted him, he knew how much Ao'nung had been worried for Lo'ak.
"You could go see him right now, Ronal has treated him we're just waiting for him to wake up."

Ao'nung ran.
As soon as his father said he could see Lo'ak again he ran as fast as he possibly could.
Hyperventilating, he arrived.
"Ma'Lo'ak..." he choked out in tears, horrified at all the injuries that had been inflicted on his lover.
"Ao'nung." His mother greeted him, and he greeted her back as he sat down next to her, She was working on the open wound on his lower leg.
"Mother." "yes, Ao'nung?" His mother softly replied not looking up, he pointed at the wound Lo'ak had in the middle of his torso "what happened here." His mother's eyes were directed toward where her son was pointing only for her face to soften in pity. "Stab wound, it seemed self-inflicted." Ao'nung eyes widen, was Lo'ak trying to commit Suicide? No, it couldn't be he had never shown any signs of wanting to die.. but yet again he could have missed it?.. "Ao'nung." "Y-yes mother?" He uttered, "have some rest, you need it." She ordered. Ao'nung gave her a slight nod before laying down and closing his eyes, there was no chance he was gonna leave Lo'aks side.
-Time skip-
It had been almost a month since Lo'ak had fallen into this coma-like sleep, and Ao'numg refused to leave his side. Even going days without eating or sleeping.
"Brother please." Tsireya cried out, she had been attempting to get Ao'nung to have some proper rest and a proper meal but he refused. "Comm'n dude, this isn't what Lo'ak would want you to do." Rotxo pleaded, Ao'nung sighed "fine, but no more than an hour." tsireya and rotxo sighed in relief, and the three best friends made their way to the food court of their village.
Ao'nung felt much better after finally having a proper meal, but he impatiently waited for the chance for him to go back to Lo'ak.
As the three friends made their way back they found Neteyam sitting next to his brother who was still unconscious, Ao'nung felt a wave of guilt for leaving him.
"Oh hello." Neteyam warmly welcomed, and Tsireya and Rotxo returned the greeting before having to leave.
"Ao'nung?" Neteyam called out, Ao'nung was avoiding eye contact which annoyed Neteyam "I'm sorry." Ao'nung softly choked out, Neteyam's face soften as he noticed the tears forming in Ao'nungs eyes "Ao'nung, don't cry.." he cooed as he motioned for him to sit next to him, Ao'nung did so.
Neteyam wrapped an arm around Ao'nungs shoulder "don't feel guilty Ao'nung, he'll wake up." Neteyam calmly reassured while smiling at him "you know.." Ao'nung gave neteyam a confused face "Lo'ak would always whin and cry whenever Jake didn't allow you to sleep over at our Marui." Neteyam chuckled at the memory, his mother had been the one who finally convinced him to allow Ao'nung to their Marui.
Ao'nung looked surprised before laughing "seriously?" "yep, even kiri started to tell him to shut up because of how much he spoke of you." Ao'nung smiled, it had been the same with him and Tsireya expect Rey would giggle about it.
Suddenly they both heard a hiss in pain, Lo'ak had woken up.
"Fuck..." he hissed out, his eyes landed on Ao'nung and Neteyam. "Where am I?" Lo'ak looked confused and scared "Ma'Lo'ak..-" "what?" Lo'ak cut Ao'nung off, a look of disgust on his face "who that fuck are you?" Lo'ak demanded to know.
Ao'nungs heart broke into a million pieces, Lo'ak didn't remember him...?
