As soon as I got home, I went to my room and stayed in my bed for the remainder of the day. I doubt anyone even noticed.
I haven't texted Keith either. I don't want to always be the first person to say something, but he hasn't talked to me either. Should I just give in? I groaned and rolled over to my other side.
Me: Heyy
Keith actually responded right away.
Keith: i was just gonna text you, actually
I rolled my eyes. I'm sure you were.
Me: Anywaysss what's up??
Keith: hw :/
Keith: you?

Keith: shouldn't you be doing homework too?

Me: But it's not like anything is due tomorrow, so it's fine

Keith: that's why we aren't done our assignment yet

Me: Wanna maybe come over tonight to work on our thingy?
Keith: its pretty late, plus i've got homework to do

Keith: how long are you planning to be working on it?

Keith: well I suppose there isn't much left to be done...
Me: Soooo... does that mean ur coming over?
Keith: I suppose

"Mamá!" I shouted.
Nothing. I groaned and forced myself out of my bed, opened my door and ran down the stairs into the living room area and shouted again, "Mamá!"
"¿Qué es, mijo?" She actually responded. She was in the kitchen making dinner, it seemed.
I walked into the kitchen and sat at the small table in there. "Hi," I said.
"What do you want?" She asked, with a small bit of annoyance laced in her voice.
"Ah, I was wondering if I would have a friend over?"
"Right now?" She asked.
"We- yeah."
"It's a school night, mijo," she stated.
