Penumbras and Dusty both looked down at the body on the table before them, which was smiling up at the roof. It was not just creepy.
It was also disturbing and VERY supernatural.
"So....ghosts can't be it ..so ... demons, Maybe?" Dusty asked.
"Exactly," Umbra said. "And those demons had to have come from Hell, right?"
"Yes." Penumbras said just as Dusty said "Maybe?"
"Demons," Penumbras began, "Are just angels of the devil, as humans call Satan, and also refer to him as THE DRAGON in the book of Revelation from a book called 'The Bible', which is the Book Of God, handed down to any that might understand and accept his word."
Dusty and Umbra looked at him in surprise. Penumbras fiddled with his earing in slight embarrassment.
"Ah-Executioner's translated a human Bible into dragon language on paper for me to read."
Umbra blinked.
"..So this 'Devil' is sending demons onto OUR PLANET?!"
"Not necessarily. Hell is supposed to be the core of the human's planet Earth, so maybe a portal?"
"Yes, possibly." Umbra began to speak another explanation, but the room shook as a loud explosion sounded from the other side of the palace.
"What was that?!" Penumbras yelped.
Umbra looked around, horror written on her face. "Another demon, and its right in THE COUNSEL ROOM!" She turned and raced out the door , and down the hall. "MOTHER! IM COMING!"
Penumbras and Dusty both ran out after her. Penumbras watched in horror as a large pillar supporting the sealing fell due to the rumbling from the explosions in the Counsel Room. It fell down, towards Umbra.
Penumbras jumped forward and tackled her, landing just out of the damage zone and rolling on the ground until they came to a dead halt against the wall of the other hall that joined onto the hall they were just in.
Penumbras untangled himself and looked at the princess.
"Well you just almost died." He turned to look at the pillar they eluded and froze.
The pillar blocked the entrance to the hall completely, smashed and in rubble. He looked for any sign of life, but saw none.
"DUSTY! DUSTY, YOU THERE?!" He called nervously. He desperately prayed to Lord Jesus in his mind that Dusty was still alive. After a moment, He heard Dusty's voice over the rubble.
"Yeah, but ill have to find my way through the palace."
"Meet us in the northern courtyard in an hour, okay, Buddy?"
"Absolutely!"
Penumbras and Umbra turned and ran towards the Council Chamber.
