Chapter 12

My mum has been in and out of hospital so I haven't had time to write :(

This chapter is pretty shit, i think anyway. I'm sorry about that, it's just I did it all in a rush, so I apologise for all the errors and the shitness.

MADDY'S P.O.V.

I had just finished getting changed after my shower when there was a knock on the door.

Who on earth would wanting to see me now?

With a grumble I walked downstairs and opened the door.

There infront of me stood James.

I quirked my eyebrow up and asked "So, what do I owe the pleasure of your visit?"

I had only just seen him about and hour or so ago, surely nothing could have gone wrong in that time?

"I urmm, just needed to get away, since my brother has just got back the pack house is going crazy and I can't stand it."

I could understand where he was coming from, back home before everything started going wrong, my family was really close, but sometimes it got so over whelming I would need to get away.

So I stood back and opened the door even wider so he could come in. I led him into the kitchen and put the kettle on, a hot drink of coco always makes things a little better.

"So, whats up?"

I stood by the counter while James sat down, he looked at me and sighed.

"I just can't believe you did it. You brought him back un-harmed, but from what he told me and the looks of you, you was the one that got harmed. I knew it was risky, but you actually risked your life for him. I just don't know why. I mean, I know I asked you to go and get him, but there was so many chances that he could of got hurt and you put his life before your own. Why?"

The poor boy looked so much like a lost puppy it was quite funny.

I looked at him and thought over my answer before I spoke.

"Because you asked me to bring him home safe, so I did."

I finished making the coco, handed him his cup and sat down opposite him.

"Look James, just forget about it ok? I protected him because it was mine and my wolves instincts too. He was already seriously injured, therefore a lot weaker than he should of been. Plus, how would this pack run without it's next in line Alpha?"

I honestly don't see what the big deal is, but oh well.

We sat talking for ages, about everything and anything. James is such a laugh! He's going to make his mate very happy!

We was in my room playing on the x-box, and let me tell you, it was so competitive! We both wanted to win, even though it's just a game we was taking it seriously.

"HA, in your face!! The Alpha loses once again!" I was jumping up and down doing this crazy dance because I had just won.

James sat there looking in shock as if he couldn't believe he lost to a girl.

We had been playing the x-box all afternoon and evening, talking about everything and anything.

We got on so well, it was as if I had known him all my life.

He would try to bring up my past, but I would quickly avoid the questions and change the topic.

He didn't need to know any of that stuff. Not yet anyway.

It was getting late, so James left saying he would come and see me soon.

I slouched down on my bean bag in my room and just sat thinking.

I have no idea how I'm going to keep hiding everything from James. He's so easy to talk to I nearly blurted so much out to him without even realising it.

If we carry on being good friends like this, he'll know everything, which will put him in serious danger.

I've got too much to worry about, I don't need this adding to it.

My Aunt left a doctors letter on the kitchen table earlier and yes I know it's private, but I'm glad I read it because she wouldn't of told me.

She's human you see, so she can get any illness and it's just our luck that she has cancer.

How the fuck am I supposed to be deal with all this shit?

I was getting too frustrated. I needed a run...

JAMES P.O.V

Spending that time with Maddy was such a great stress release. She actually made me forget about all my problems for once.

I don't understand why she's here though and not with her own pack.

Everytime I tried to bring up a subject about her and her past she would avoid the questions and change topic.

I wasn't even in wolf form walking back to the pack house, I needed the extra time to think about Maddy, although I can feel people trying to mind link me, I'm not ready to go straight back there.

They don't know when to give a guy a break.

Everyone is worried about Trevor, he seems to be getting us in trouble with neighbouring packs for his stupid "booty calls".

If he causes a war, no one will forgive him. We've only just settled things with the Blackmoon Pack, we don't need anymore rivalry. We share some of our schools with that pack, including the one Maddy goes too.

Although speaking of "booty calls" I haven't seen Alicia in a while, might aswell go pop over there and release some stress.

Unknown P.O.V

"Listen and listen good young one. You've crossed me more than once, which is not something I take kindly. You and your pathetic pack know i'm not one to be messed with, but you just can't help yourself? I'm going to let you off with a warning, but I won't be so kind next time."

A warning? We all know what warnings he gives. Fuck my life....

I hear the door open and in come 5 big mother fucking wolves all with some sort of weapon.

Oh shit hit the fan nooooww.

They all come at me and it's not like i can actually defend myself, I'm chained up!

Whack after whack, I'll be surprised if I actually live through this...
